Hi LookingAhead, thanks for starting this up.
Last week's budget was £5 and I spent £26.72!
Very, very BAD. So this week my budget is £44.35, this will include groceries. I've got a monthly bus ticket so don't have to worry about travel.
We're off out to lunch today for housemate/Landlord's birthday, but I think other house mate is paying as thanks for us having her 3 guests to stay(I gave up my room for the duration). So hopefully will not have to spend anything except my grocery money. But I'm not counting on the free lunch.

Hi everyone on this lovely Sunday. Hope the weather is good whereever you are. Planning on a NSD today including a walk after lunch after making some Banana Cake as I have some over-ripe bananas (very MSE/DFW).
Last week's budget was £8.44 and managed to spend only £7.21 so the spare change went into my "slummy piggy bank". Had 5 NSDs out of 6 so very pleased with myself.
This week my budget is £33.93. I have £15 left out of the groceries budget and will need some of it to top up the fresh fruit during the week. Also I have a business trip to London and if I can pay for things such as parking and the tube out of my weekly budget I benefit when I get my expenses back - have just done this for Nov and Dec and paid £79.20 off my Marbles credit card (extra payment:j which together with the normal monthly payment and a BT to 0% has cleared the card just before they increased the interest rate).
I find this thread a real help in cutting back on my spending during the week.
Good luck to everyone with the challenge this week.0 -
I set a target of £50 last week and we only spent £32.50!!!! Going to reduce the target to £40 this week and see how we go.LookingAhead wrote:OK in Moozie's absence I will get this started. However Moozie please do come & take over with your superb admin skills on the thread as soon as you like
