i suppose it doesn't matter if it brings in sales, and horses for courses and all that, i suppose it would be helping someone as well in a rounabout sort of way. if it works I have many a pair of shoes and tights could probably pay a cc off if they only went a 99p each :rotfl:

  • Ebay is my friend, just need to get listing more often.

The CSA on the other hand are definately not my friends, have had my statement of expected payments for the next 12 months, the greatest will be £21.87!!!! (a month that is) at least i don't have to pay for the pleasure.

Everything is going the right way on paper, even managed to pay some back to ma and pa, they haven't asked but it shows willing and will be appreciated by them :)

Generally feeling more upbeat about everything.

The silly expensive xmas pressie for DS that i ummmed and arrrrred about for ages was actually a great buy, and has been used more than anything else that he got, and saves on the outings because he sees time spent together gaming as great mummy time, i'm counting it as a well thought out decision. nothing to do with the fact that i find myself gaming more than i should but its sort of free entertainment now

Spoke to my mortgage company, they are sending me an SOA type thingy to fill out, i asked to go interest only while I clear the cc's, did explain that I wasn't struggling as such just be eaiser without the cc, apparently its a possibility, they also seemed happy that i would use a proportion of the cc money after to over pay the mortgage, we will see what happens, could be debt free before the end of the year, and then closer to mortgage free.

Oh and saved a shed load of money by being single this feb :D

  • Still going well, but fear the clothing budget may take a beating soon....have 1 pair of jeans that fits me, n a serious lack of much else to wear comes of selling everything that doesn't fit :rotfl:

    NSD are getting easier, honest!

I am hoping that by giving up chocolate for Lent, thats a whole 47 days from today that I might be able to generate a few more NSDs, I am a chocoholic, the coffee just isn't taking the place of my hot choc, not sure how sofa time is going to work out tonight with no choc either, but i have taken the drastic measure of having NO chocolate in the house!

Jumble sale on Saturday, hopefully i might find some bargains but unlikely not much in jumbles for size 6

    things to do
ebay at least 20 more things this week
nsd at least 3 more but would like to smash my target
more surveys although i keep getting screened out of most of them
prepare for March where we will be having a no shopping month, need to get in milk and dog food and that will be it. So a store cupboard challenge for us.

    Have a good week all

  • Morning,

Lovely weekend, not overly MSE but the cash was all from the budget so sort of MSE just means that there will be less to overpay this month....but really needed some time out.

Small spends on jeans as they were needed.

Finally taken the bull by the horns and opened another bank account, fed up with playing the overdraft game, so my salary will go in my new account and enough will then go back in my other account to cover dd's, savings, budget etc and the over draft payment, the rest will be all that remains to spend, and anything left at the end of the month will go to which ever card needs most attention.

Bit of change to the sealed pot really need to count the new bits going in.

Fleabay is getting there slowly getting a nice collection of bits added, every little counts :rotfl:

Just got to buy milk and dog food and we will be well away for the store cupboard challenge for March. Can i cope with not buying anything though for a month, not sure I can normally manage a week!

  • What a beautiful day, have finally managed to complete the paperwork for the mortgage company, grovelling for an interest only period, have also written a covering letter detailing the ins and outs, and marked all the anomolies on my bank statements that I had to return with the paperwork.

I am hoping that the grovelling has done enough, I have even outlined my plan to overpay the mortgage as this something they appear keen for me to do as I have had about 20 letters since I discussed the possibility once with someone.

Few bits to pick up from Mr Aldi tonight, dog food, bread flour and milk being a priority, and a few fresh bits to see out the beginning of the month. The rest of my shopping for the month will be done from my kitchen, I am sure i will get to like couscous after we have eaten 2 kilos of it! there are also some other interesting purchases that must be eaten before they have their second birthdays!

    Plan for March

20 NSD (DD etc not included)

    make £10 per day extra

keep my fingers well crossed for my bonus at the end of the month, have never had one before but apparently appears to be normal to get a company perfomance one, and we are doing well at the moment

keep fingers crossed that the mortgage co agree with my need for an interest only period

book dog in for a very long awaited haircut

    sell the bl**dy horse lorry

    spring clean the garden

    spring clean the shed

muck out DS bedroom when he is at his dads so the removed stuff doesn't just put back again

    ebay 5 things a day (35 things a week)

do not enter a supermarket or food related store of any kind, this is a bit scary

use my amazon voucher to buy new twilight

find someone who would ideally like to pay for me to see Bon Ami, but if all else fails it will come from my entertainment budget :rotfl:

My word that is a mighty long list for one small person

    Happy March everyone ;)

Mortgage company spoken to, and although I didn't really expect them to let me go on interest only for 12 months I was hoping that they would give me a short period of time, 3 months would have been plenty.

Explained the ins and outs and the reasoning sent them an SOA as requested in detail. Including the small amount that gets diverted to emergencies.

Apparently they can't help me until I am unable to pay my mortgage, i thought it would be wise to try and avoid that situation by bashing the debt before the interest rates go up, but no. The solution was to stop paying the massive £40 a month into emergency fund and divert it to the mortgage.

Oh well, back to selling more of the bits

    Have a good week all

More on fleabay and thats about the highlight of my NSD day.

No chocolate is going ok, well apart from all the bloomin ads there are on the tv for the stuff

No supermarket also going well, we are starting to delve into the back of the tin cupboard and the outside freezer for next weeks meal plans.

Busy work week, but I need to make some 'me' time.

Dog is booked in for saturday, maybe I will be able to take her out in public again other than in the dark ;)

Not fallen off the wagon, just been silly busy at work.

The dog is beautiful once again, haircut all sorted, now just to find the cash to have mine done, used to swap it for 30 minute riding lessons but can't do that now mmmmmmm it'll come from somewhere!!!

Have updated a beautiful spreadsheet to tie in with the finacial at work, plus my mortgage statement, hopefully this will help.

Have moved all my payments to as far through the month as possible i.e. as close to the next day as poss to cut down on the OD interest. Think I have london girl to thank for this genius idea :T

Debt still going down, not managed the 5 things a day on fleabay, but have been sorting and now have a healthy mountain to start with. There are already a few bits on there, and selling so need to get with the programme :D

Have closed an a/c that i had from yages ago for a cc, wonder how that managed to slip through without being abused??? well i can't now and its gone!

Only £39.50 on the CC that i paid twice before, so that should die this month, as long as nothing hideous happens. Then down to 3 whoop whoop, 1 of them is the biggy that i keep putting off its too daunting, hoping that i might be able to BT it at 0% if i start chipping away a bit quicker.

NSD mmmm I appear to have had 13 this month, thats what happend when you panic coz too much money went out last month! and haven't been to the SM at all, Ma did treat us to some fruit and veg because DS told her we were shopping from the house this month :rotfl::rotfl:

Fingers crossed that nothing hideous happens before payday, 8 days and counting!!!!!!

Have a good rest of month all,
