    Hello to everyone.
I was woken up early by the local cats having a chat right underneath our bedroom window! Our neighbour's cat is the noisiest I've ever heard.
We've been to church this morning and now OH is lying on the couch with man-flu and the kids are playing outside on their scooters.
Today will be a slow day I think. The wm has been on, I've got shopping lists to write and the ironing to do. We're going to have bacon butties for lunch and sausage casserole (frozen hm) and rice for tea. To be honest I feel like going back to bed, but not much chance of that!
Sympathies to you being woken up by cats but it is one of the funniest sounds around, so long as they don't start again tomorrow:D
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

Aww Kaz that is shocking, happy birthday, hope everything else went a bit better than that!

Well I could cry, I will learn now the extra £5 off isn't worth spending 3 hours in Tescos as son decided to have numerous meltdowns, never ever ever again! Sticking with shopping online and when they are at school!

Spent more than I wanted to because they were with me, all usable stuff but some unnecessary like ice cream cones, will update my signature when I find the receipt which I just threw in the bag somewhere as I was so stressed by that point!

Managed to get naff all else done really as been out for over 4 hours in total with traffic etc. Have to drop DP off in town soon so he can go out and get drunk so I may aswell do housework tonight.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Good evening everyone.

It's been an eventful day for me. I have spent the last 3 hours at Casualty with dh who has fallen off his motorbike and has broken a rib. He's in agony and unfortunately there's little I or anyone can do about it. He's been given loads of painkillers which seem to be helping a little. Little bit of comfort from the doctor in Casualty "it gets worse before it gets better"!!

I've only just started dinner but, understandably, dh doesn't want any and ds is out and won't be home for dinner. So there's just me and dd tonight and to be quite honest I'm not that hungry either.

I haven't even had time to take the dogs for a walk so I'll be walking in the dark tonight - and to top it all its pouring with rain and the winds picking up.

Never mind - at least it will get better.

Oh Lelc not the best way to spend your Sunday, but I suppose with bikes have to be thankful he's only broken a rib, hope he feels better soon and it doesn't get too much worse before it gets better.

Lelc I would just be thanking my lucky stars that it's just a rib, I've lost so many friends through bike accidents that I've banned my children from even thinking about owning one. I hope the painkillers kick in for him.

Fortunately the motorbike event he was taking part in was about endurance (I think) rather than speed. He doesn't ride a bike on the road its all off road stuff - I don't think I'd be at all happy if he had a road bike. We have a good friend who has been left paralysed after crashing his bike. The one good thing to come out of that (well for me anyway) was that it put my son off owning a motorbike.

I did tell my dh today, though, that the bikes are going to have to go.

    dlb Thanks for the recipe!
  • Hi all

Despite my good intentions to post every day on this thread since my first post last Sunday, it's been a week!

Anyway, hope everone is doing well, and that you've all had a nice day

I have mostly been cleaning, cooking and clothes washing (first day in what seems like months I've been able to put in on the line instead of draping it over the radiators / bannister / clothes horse). I'm now sorting through the back room for stuff to put on Ebay (will list it all on Tuesday night).

So - good day in all - probably will be another week before I post again, so take care all and have a good one :D
