    Morning All

Only just managed to get round to posting this morning. Already done a wash load and the BM has nearly finished. Today I'm going to have a look at the car that DH is going to fix up for MIL. Apart from that we have got to get everything ready for Nursery/MIL's/Work. Later on I will be doing some more ironing which is never ending.

    Have a good day everyone

Hi Yall, bright and sunny here in the emids.

This last week Chez MATH has been like the House of DEATH!!!! We've all had the flu! Not man-flu, or skive off school flu but propper can't lift your head off the pillow flu. We've survived on sips of iced water and chopped fruit because non of us could bear cooking or stomach food. Most of us are semi-functional now except Miss MATH who woke with a cricked-neck which is currently swathed in a heated wheat beanie. With the stiff neck she has the carriage and demenour of Lady Bracknall (LOL) I feel ever so umble:D beggin ya pardon miss.:rotfl:

Today, our first 'real' meal in a week I shall rustle up: Fiesta salad, new potatoes, chicken nuggets (found in the bottom of the freezer), and crusty bread. I shall skip the nuggets in defference to my post Christmas diet, I hope to be down to my birth weight by March:rotfl:

This afternoon I will be vacuuming (again) I've never known the cats to start moulting in January, normally I would not be expecting the annual 'battle of the fur pelt' to hit full swing until the end of Feb. If that's not proof of catastrophic global warming I don't know what else is LOL. After that I will be settling down on one of the sofas in the conservatory (I'll pick the one warmed best by the sun (LOL) and watch Lillies. I've watched it once but it was soooo good I'm gonna indulge myself again.

Have a good day one and all

  • Hi Again

Hugs to everyone that needs one:kisses3:

OH & DD are in the kitchen making the trifle:eek:     ...all I keep hearing is DD saying...NO...thats wrong Dad...wake up!! Derrrr brain and whatever Dad!!:D Ive just gone out to put the spuds in the MW and anyone would think they are cooking a 5 course dinner:confused:

Anyway.....my head is buzzing, but that could be the 4 cups of fresh coffee i have drunk this morning:rolleyes: I have attempted a little reading of my course but nothing seems to be sticking in my brain ATM....I fee like a total :spam: head:rotfl:

I think I will have a sleep this afternoon to see if that helps, then we are going to friends about 5'ish. Cant stop late as Im back up Kings Hospital in the morning. I have made a list of "to do" stuff that really MUST get done, there a few urgent calls that need to be made too.

Lovely day here, so washing has been hung out. I do prefer the washing dried outside;) Didnt have enough to make a load this morning, so stuck OH's dressing gown in to top it up. This 7.5kg WM is excellent and has cut down my washloads from about 8-9 per week to around 5-6. As its more energy efficient, it actually costs a fraction to run even though its bigger and takes longer to wash. It is only plumbed to the cold water. Have worked out that each washload (40c normal) costs about 35p:confused:

Anyway, Id best go and wish you all a pleasant Sunday.
    Hugs

    Morning

Stefejb - ((((hugs)))) have a gentle day it sounds like you need one (is it the pride and predjudice with Colin Firth in - if so enjoy the lake scene;)

Still in pjs at the moment but need to get ready soon as my neighbour and I are treating ourselves to a posh lunch out as her hubby is off to watch Everton (hope they win or he gets everso grumpy!!) Theres a hotel near us that does a gorgeous beef sunday dinner for not a more than the local pub charges. Ive never really understood why a pub that sells meals 2 for £10 all during the week suddenly starts charging £8.95 for a roast dinner on a Sunday:confused: Ive always found them to be cheaper to cook overall than lots of other meals - AND why can we only get roasts on a Sunday:confused::confused: there are many big big unanswered questions in this world me thinks:D So thats my lazy lovely lunch sorted then no doubt some red wine will need drinking this afternoon!!

Scarf update - I have finished my mums and started on my friends (I have 2 other orders in so should get cracking or they will need to be converted into fans for the heatwave we have coming!!;) ) Got loads done watching Kylies Showgirl tour last night - what an amazing woman she is.:j

Anyway off to make myself gorgeous (could take a while:rotfl: )
Have a lovely day and enjoy the blue sky
    Hugs

    Hi everyone:)

A lot got cleared but not all - I call it ithe 80% syndrome. Everything goes well till 80% and it takes mega effort and nagging to get the last 20% completed.

Need to clean the living room, the hall, vestible and downstairs loo area (not the loo itself - hubby assigned the male loos and inside windows). The study/dining room still has boxes in there and the room is filthy. I guess if I complete the other cleared rooms, it might be cleared in time for me to do that room.

Not necessarily doing it today, I find it annoying cleaning when people are at home and have a lovely full week free, bar going out shopping if the weather is better this week, what a filthy month this is, still taking a bit longer preparing the house means the house should be ready for viewing when the weather improves and people are more interested in house hunting.

Hubby is having a well earned rest and sorting his rooms later. I shall store some boxes and fragile things under the stairs.

Well DPs decided he's out for the day, and is out this evening so it's just me and the boys, so can decide what I am doing now! Just looked in my purse, a til spit I got in Tescos a little while ago is for £5 off when you spend £50, I didn't even know it was there and runs out TODAY so going to brave Tescos with the boys, probably the craziest idea but I do need shopping and may aswell use the money off! Going to give them both a job to do while we are there which will hopefully keep them occupied, oldest DS is 7 but goes in the trolley usually, as he finds supermarkets hard to cope with, so going to try it without going in the trolley today.

He has done one good MSE thing, last night he popped into the sandwich shop after work and they were throwing away 2 packs of bread rolls as they are closed Sundays. So he asked if he could have them and brought them home. They are really nice aswell. So will put them in the freezer today :D thats the rolls to go with lunches for this week sorted.

After the shopping taking the dogs for the midday walk, possibly take the car to the park (nearest is a fair few miles away) and then they can play aswell as the dogs. Good wander in the woods and see what we can find sounds nice :) wear them all out. We have some collecting bags I got from one of the woodlands sites so will take those.

Got the washing on the line but have realised I have very little pegs left, think someone is eating them, or maybe the dogs, so I must get some more when I am out.
One day I might be more organised...........

feeling a bit low today. An exboyf had a bit of a breakdown when we broke up about five months ago. We split partly because his behaviour was becoming more and more erratic - in fact downright dangerous at times especially as i have kids in the house. I thought he was getting better and he came round last week to pick up the last of his stuff and my exdh was there dropping off our dd. this might have triggered something - although he seemed fine at the time i have just found out that he went home and took an overdose and is in the hospital. The news came third or fourth hand so i don't know how bad he is. i don't officially know any of this and if i contact his family or anything other people will get into trouble for blabibng to me so i'm just going to have to sit tight i think.
A discussion on the families board also took me back to a difficult time in my life - serves me right for staying up in the wee small hours drinking wine and getting maudlin.
i was supposed to be going out last night but my dsis called from canada and we were on the phone for about two hours - as soon as i put the phone down my dad called from holland so that was another hour. they are difinitley coming over in about two weeks - i'm so excited but also have a lot of work to do to make the house fit for company.
dgs knocked down my wine and broke the airlock thingy - we tried to superglue it but it's not working so exdh is going to wilkos to get another one hoping that it's not spoiled - will still probably drink it anyway :)
Am going to go easy on myself today - i borrowed pride and prejudice form a colleague so i'm going to watch that and do nothing until exdh and dd get back
    have a great day

    stef

Your ex sounds to need help but you were right to finish the relationship if there was a danger to the children.

Enjoy the rest, it sounds like a busy time for you is on the horizon

  • Morning all (oops, I mean afternoon :o ). Having a quiet day in today with just me and OH, both children (not really children now) have returned to uni up north, the house is very quiet and hopefully will remain a bit tidier now ;)

No major plans for today, I've been cooking stewed apples and a fruit compote using up the elderly fruit in the bowl and also have a big pot of carrot soup bubbling on the stove ready for lunch.

Have a good day everyone, the sun's been out here, makes you feel soooo much better, doesn't it.

    Afternoon all!

Am still in my pjs... shoot me now!! The hot water is on though and I have a nice bath right at the top of my 'to do' list today! Am still waiting for my Lush stuff to come, it's been two weeks now! Grrr! I was going to call them tomorrow but the forum offer is on... no doubt the lines'll be jammed most of the day! Ugh! So shall wait until that chaos is over and call on Tuesday instead!

Have been having a lot of troubles with my moods etc lately, hence why I've not been more chatty.. I hope I can make some good friends here but gosh am really struggling when all I want to do is cry and sleep! The worst bit was a bit of a tiff with OH yesterday morning, and me getting up at 3am this morning to get some stuff out of the car, just incase someone fancied stealing it (fact is, we live in a pretty, safe, middle class town... you never can be too careful though I guess!)... and lugging the party boxes up 3 floors in my pjs, hoody and trainers.... classy!

Had a great party yesterday, it was 3 little boys sharing and they were adorable! Some of the kids didn't want me to leave, which is always nice, lol.

OH is still in bed, and the pup is sunbathing on the window sil (yes, he thinks he's a cat!!)... think it'll be a lazy one today bar the usual cooking, washing up (need to get that mountain down!), washing clothes and hoovering... going to do a 'bung it all in' chicken soup in my SC (as all the recipes I found last night called for ingredients I don't have) and an HM chicken curry for our dinner this evening... I think we'll have bacon butties this afternoon as a Sunday treat, yum!

Was meant to be going to a Boot Fair earlier today, but as I woke about 10:30 I was already late for bargains! I have a hen night and a party next weeked, and am booked up for parties the weekend after.... I'm not sure if I'll ever get my cheapie BM!! Will just have to keep saving my pennies and Ebaying to raise some moolah for a fastbake I guess, as Freecycle isn't giving me any luck (and I'm signed up to all of the local ones I possibly can, *and* my sisters local one so she can pick one up for me if it becomes available!)!!!

The bath is calling me!! Have a great day everyone, sending hugs to those who need them.... xx
