Good Morning All - hope we are well

Tried to have a lie in this morning, after OH offered to take DD to her friends party this morning, BUT NO SUCH LUCK! :( That security light over the back from us was on again all night, I kept waking up every hour on the hour, thinking Ive over slept.

DD at a party at 10.30, then off to visit a wedding fayre with my mum. Saw some lovely bridesmaid dresses on ebay for my DD and for mums husband to be grand-daughter. Just hope she likes them. Plus I hope she likes the invites samples I made.

Just got to hoover & dust front room, as I gave up yesterday on housework, after doing quite a lot.

Take care all, have a lovely day
    Love as usual xxx

Anyway with them coming or not I've still got to iron Mt Everest and get a roast dinner together - best get my skates on :D

    Have a great Sunday everyone!

    Morning everyone.

I'm still in bed drinking my 2nd cuppa. Its really dull and wet outside. Dh has gone out on with his pal on their motorbikes so I've got a day to myself (well dd and ds are at home but I don't expect to see them til this aft).

I was surprised when I went into the kitchen to find its still spotless. Ds came in at some unearthly hour and I heard him go into the kitchen so I fully expected him to have made a mess while he was getting something to eat. But apart from a few breadcrumbs, it was ok.

My plan today is to clear out the cupboard under the sink and the cupboard where I keep all the empty cartons etc. The wm is on but I need to do another load after that. Then I'll take the dogs for a walk (the one that was poorly yesterday seems much better today).

Roast Turkey breast for dinner with roast veg, sprouts and potatoes.

    Speak to you later.

Good morning everyone ... it's a lovely sunny day here too :D

Had a busy OS day yesterday so we are taking it a bit easier today. We have gammon in the slow cooker for our evening meal (left over pheasant casserole for lunch) and have swopped the clothes on the ceiling airer. OH is debating which old films to watch on TV today and I'm doing my usual meander around the web :D

I'll probably make some scones and another batch of soup for the freezer (for our lunches) this afternoon. Nothing too strenuous. And perhaps some ironing later.

Have a lovely OS day :hello:
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

    Morning everyone.

It's sunny!! Hugs to those that are having a bad day, or just fancy a hug. :grouphug:

It's another busy DIY day for me, helping the BF get his flat straight. New locks need to be put on the front and french doors, the bathroom needs a final seal, and the bedroom curtains need turning up. Am being taken out for breakfast in local cafe to say thanks for all my help. :D

Have found out that my bathroom ceiling (half of which has been missing/removed for the last 8 weeks) is finally going to be fixed. The bathroom is in a extension on the ground floor, and the whole flat felt roof and the bathroom ceiling needs to be replaced. Of course, if the letting agents had listened to us 2 years ago when we first reported it ... :wall: oh, and the washing machine has packed in. Again. Hmph

ah well. just my luck that it all gets sorted it just as i decide to move out :rotfl:

    Good morning everyone :)

Got a lie in this morning which was lovely - though longer than expected as went to sleep again after switching off the alarm clock :o I must have needed it though, and so far I'm not as headachy this morning which is great :j So I've had toast for breakfast, and have my cuppa sitting in front of me, the sun is shining (for a change) so hopefully it'll be a good day :D Need to get the WM and the DW on today, and maybe see about organising my craft boxes at some point as I've mixed everything up in them:p

*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please...

Good morning everyone, just a quick post before I go get DP up and make his brekkie/dinner coffee etc.

Hope everyone is well, sounds like your little DD is much better moggins :)

Got a stack to do today but it's not raining :D so might get that walk out with the dogs and kids, wear them all out a little bit. Still windy but sure that will be fine. Might even manage to get some washing dry outside, for the first time this week! Done a bit this morning but still a lot left to do. Don't know what I am cooking until DP gets up and lets me know what he's doing today, I know he's out tonight but might be out all day aswell.

My youngests been sat eating the dried grapes we made all morning so no doubt it'll be windy in here too later :rotfl: he loves them, but as per usual oldest hasn't tried any yet. He's layered the carrots, apples, mushrooms and leaks up for me so they are on the dehydrator now, it's going to save me throwing so much out. He loves helping bless him, but he's such a perfectionist with it and shouts at me if I help and put them too close together :rotfl: put in my place by a 5 year old

Best go crack on with a few things and wake him up, catch you all later, hope you all have a lovely day :)
One day I might be more organised...........

Happy sunday every-one. I came downstairs at 5.30 with my 4 yr old ds. He never used to be this bad!!i did think about putting on the computer to see if sunday`s thread had been started but laid down on the settee and fell asleep!!! I basically dozed, woke, dozed, woke ,(you get the picture)for the next two hours with intermittent journeys to the kitchen to get food/drink etc for my little devil oops!!, angel of a child. I always feel rubbish on broken sleep and today is no different. I have washing to put out, have done the mountain of dishes that were left in the sink last night. will do a quick hoover and then my friend has kindly offered to pick me and my 3 youngest up at 1pm to take to her house for dinner.(Bless her)I dont intend doing much else today except for the dreaded paperwork. Hope every-one has a peacefull and stress free sunday. I love this thread a i find it helps to write whats on my mind. I hope i am not boring you to death, Hugs to all, Love Elaine

    Morning all
feeling a bit low today. An exboyf had a bit of a breakdown when we broke up about five months ago. We split partly because his behaviour was becoming more and more erratic - in fact downright dangerous at times especially as i have kids in the house. I thought he was getting better and he came round last week to pick up the last of his stuff and my exdh was there dropping off our dd. this might have triggered something - although he seemed fine at the time i have just found out that he went home and took an overdose and is in the hospital. The news came third or fourth hand so i don't know how bad he is. i don't officially know any of this and if i contact his family or anything other people will get into trouble for blabibng to me so i'm just going to have to sit tight i think.
A discussion on the families board also took me back to a difficult time in my life - serves me right for staying up in the wee small hours drinking wine and getting maudlin.
i was supposed to be going out last night but my dsis called from canada and we were on the phone for about two hours - as soon as i put the phone down my dad called from holland so that was another hour. they are difinitley coming over in about two weeks - i'm so excited but also have a lot of work to do to make the house fit for company.
dgs knocked down my wine and broke the airlock thingy - we tried to superglue it but it's not working so exdh is going to wilkos to get another one hoping that it's not spoiled - will still probably drink it anyway :)
Am going to go easy on myself today - i borrowed pride and prejudice form a colleague so i'm going to watch that and do nothing until exdh and dd get back
    have a great day
