Ok I think I get it an advent comp is like a dailly one I guess?

Do daily competitions get put on the main board? (I sort threads by end time) Do I need to do both my main board comps and these dailly ones too? a little confused, thanks.

If you read the first few posts in the thread it might help give you an idea

A lot of companies run "Advent" comps in the run-up to Christmas, where you can enter every day or something along those lines. They do get posted on the main board, but some people find they get lost in everything else that's going on there. This thread (as I understand it) is to provide links to advent comps which are listed on the main board - in the same way as the Dailies thread links to comps listed on the main board which you can enter every day.

This thread & the Dailies one don't generally include anything that's not on the main board, they just help people keep track of things. So if you don't find it helpful then just ignore it!

yep they do get put on main board, most of the threads are linked in the daily thread here so that those of us who choose to comp by end date and choose to use the daily thread do not miss out by only finding them on the last day or two.

weekly comps are linked in the weekly sticky thread

both sticky threads are easily found at the top of the regular subforum.
