My DS rang at 3am to say he was going to Casualty - he had been punched in a nightclub!:mad::eek:
He got home at 10.30 ish - 5 stitches, 1 black eye. Xray says nothing broken, has to go for a scan tomorrow........
obviously they need to see if they can find a brain!:mad::mad:
I am SO not happy!
Oh dear - not a good night out :-( I hope he is ok and the bruising isn't to bad. If you find a brain then please advise me of the scanner operater as I need to ascertain if my DS1 has the grey lumpy matter as well;)On the way home I saw a man lying in the road, another woman in front and myself stopped.....he had a broken leg (I know as it was sticking through where his ankle should be) anyway I flagged down a ambulance, luckily about 5 cars back....but unbelieveably as the crew were dealing with him, and myself and the other woman were trying to secure his car, a woman in a car bibbed her horn at me and started shouting at me to move my car.
I said 'there's a man lying in the road, I can't'...she said, 'I don't care move your car'!
Then the bloke from the car got out and had a go at the ambulance crew saying, 'move your ambulance so we can get passed'! The ambulance man said 'no, I'm dealing with a badly injured man', and he said 'I couldn't care less, move your ambulance, you're obstructing the road'!!!!!
He went eventually and backed his car up the road but I could not believe the rudeness and selfishness of this couple. The ambulance staff took my details as a witness to this couples behaviour.
I am thoroughly shocked. Some people are so RUDE!Thanks for all the birhtday wishes for DS
He has had a lovely time, played football this morning - he scored 2 and they won:T and I'm hoarse
Banquet was a good idea - big platters of starters, rice for all and then various dishes to try. DS had Thai Green Curry - announced it wasn't how THEN got the 'kick'
Great news. In years to come he will forget the party but will remember the goals he scored on his 18th - Golden Memories
We've had a busy day at DS2 an DS3's football matches. They both lost and DS3 was badly fouled with a blind ref . I wouldn't be surprised if he has a black eye in the morning.
Not done any flying today. Football in September is fun as it isn't cold, freezing, snowing and wet. And that is a reason to smile!0 -
I cant make my mind up on the chilli. Mince was from an online butchers who I have used before. Delivered and frozen first thing, not previously frozen, etc. Looked and smelled fine when I browned it off, stirred it etc sio would have spotted any issues. End result has small white half moon thingys in it? Also used home grown chilli, green peppers and a lot of red lentils. No idea what the white things are but I feel sick thinking that they may be cooked maggots. Probably being daft but you know what it is like once an idea gets into your head.....
I dont even like chilli so reluctant to taste it!
Table is done, and the bags for the morning. Just need to hoover, iron and make my mind up on the chilli.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Cyclingyorkie - Blimey I'm glad your DS is ok! Scary stuff.
Triker - Omg, some people are so horrid! Can't remember who said they are beginning to think cats are nicer than people but I know what you mean!
Flying - I blitzed downstairs today, managed to do the following:- Hoovered all of downstairs, kitchen, hallway & lounge
- Wipe kitchen worksurfaces, tiles & breadbin which was looking a bit icky
- Polished coffee table
- Polished display cabinet & dusted glass shelves
- Washing up done
- Washing done & hung up
So I won't be in next week but I wish you all the very best & I will be in again for the first week of October.

Hex - did you put any onion or garlic in it? I can't believe you wouldn't have spotted something dodgy when you were browning it if it was in the mince...0
-
greenbee, onions at the start, then garlic puree. I think I would have spotted anything, I dindt just bung everything in together. It all got browned individually. The chilli may be the culprit, I chopped it in with scissors so probably the least closely inspected.
I have portioned it, frozen most and left a small portion out on the hob. If it is walking round in the morning then I will at least know *shudders*'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hex - sometimes chillies, like peppers, have a white pith in them, so maybe it could be that... Or chopped chilli seeds. Whatever it is is cooked, so unlikely to be walking in the morning0

Its not like me or the little ones will be eating it anyway 'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

Then why are you bothered? If they were alive once, it's just extra protein...0
