Been to the dump and got rid of the 10 ish bags that won't fit into the bins.

Picked some stuff up from B and M bargains, toiletries and stuff.

On the way home I saw a man lying in the road, another woman in front and myself stopped.....he had a broken leg (I know as it was sticking through where his ankle should be) anyway I flagged down a ambulance, luckily about 5 cars back....but unbelieveably as the crew were dealing with him, and myself and the other woman were trying to secure his car, a woman in a car bibbed her horn at me and started shouting at me to move my car.
I said 'there's a man lying in the road, I can't'...she said, 'I don't care move your car'!
Then the bloke from the car got out and had a go at the ambulance crew saying, 'move your ambulance so we can get passed'! The ambulance man said 'no, I'm dealing with a badly injured man', and he said 'I couldn't care less, move your ambulance, you're obstructing the road'!!!!!

He went eventually and backed his car up the road but I could not believe the rudeness and selfishness of this couple. The ambulance staff took my details as a witness to this couples behaviour.

Triker words fail me! That poor man must've felt bad enough, injured as he was, without t0sspots like that making the situation worse.:( Well, what goes around comes around - one of these days that couple will be in the situation of needing help, and some arrogant wotnot will just want the people helping them to move out of the way. It'll happen, trust me.;)

  • Im going to have a HHC but going to list some more dvds on my spreadsheet. Im trying to do it a shelf at a time and put them back into some sort of order rather than anywhere on the shelf.

    Afternoon all

So sorry to hear of your incident Triker and your DS CY

Hex - yes just really busy with school governor stuff (busy time if you are on S&A committee with results to scrutinize and open evening to man) plus loads on with boys from county cricket trials to sorting prov licence and driving lessons, course work to be proof read etc. All good though and trying to do an hour in the garden each day to get all those 'putting to bed jobs done'. Also trying to do a bit more exercise as joints are not good at the moment and neither is my waist line. Enjoying the challenges on the other side too. Hope all is well with you and yours x

Mrs Chaos well done on your observation that is great news. We have got our orders through now so busy few months ahead.

House is ok, working to my own routine and just doing an hour everyday to keep on top of things. Lovely DH has descalled and demoulded the shower today (all off his own back) and it looks and smells great.

Off to make an apple pie now and encourage DS1 to cut the grass, weed and over seed it in payment for the golf lesson I paid for this week. He has a regular saturday/after school job which he has just started which is fantastic as he will earn enough to pay for all his golf requirements.

Love and hugs to each and everyone of you and I'll try to be around next week

Triker thats appalling - despicable people - i hope someone got their reg and they get a visit from the boys in blue -well done to you and the other lady for helping and how lucky was that having an ambulance there - poor man. I am not sure but isnt it against the law to harass/ interfere with police/ambulance personnel doing their job - if not it should be IMHO! I am suitably impressed at the decluttering going on in your abode at the mo - the trick will be keeping it that way xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (((hugs)))

Hi hex sounds like things are doing well your end - there is bound to be loads of upheaval for a little while as Dh gets to grips with the jobs but the main thing is you are making progress - enjoy your nice clean empty bed tonight LOL xxxxx:cool:

Hi Dusty fancy meeting you here:rotfl: sounds like you have things pretty well in hand - well done to you and thats great about DS - will be in touch properly soon. xxxxx

Well I managed 14 & now need to take more photos.

DH is on his way home now & will pick up Thing 2 from her sleepover on his way so that has saved me a trip out :D

I'm looking forward to next weeks lists - I have so enjoyed flying this week & my house is sort of coming together. I no longer look round in despair wondering which job to tackle next! DH has noticed & I think its infectious cos he polished our lovely dualit toaster with proper chrome polish yesterday & it looks like it did when we were given it as a wedding gift 14 years ago :T

Off to start toad in the hole for tea now x

Thanks for all the birhtday wishes for DS

He has had a lovely time, played football this morning - he scored 2 and they won:T and I'm hoarse

Banquet was a good idea - big platters of starters, rice for all and then various dishes to try. DS had Thai Green Curry - announced it wasn't how THEN got the 'kick'

DD has been washing and drying pots:D

on an unhappier note a shelf (and a couple of lumps of plaster) have detached themselves from DD's bedroom wall.:o

ETA and DD cleared it all up - so when I got back from football I didn't have to start

Triker - I am appalled at that - NDNs (the ones who cut my grass) work in the NHS, she's admissions clerk (or whatever its called) in Casualty and he's a paramedic...also DD's friend mum & stepdad are parasmedics so I KNOW they have to put up with alsorts of carp - dreadful! But wo demand an ambulance is MOVED - words failme

Valli's hot tip - birthdays on consecutive days are so NOT a good idea...DS has two birthday cakes and there's another one waiting in the wings, though that's going into work tomorrow;)

I suppose I ought to start to get ready for work, and do the last o0f the ironing really, and clear the carp out of the car

and DS has had a HUGE amount of money from my sister and her husband - he will be able to pay for all the driving lessons he needs, I hope. people are so generous. He laso has another Superdry t shirt - but it's ok - having ruined two through over vigorous washing I now know how to wash them :rotfl:

  • Hope everybody's having a good weekend despite how fast they seem to go!

Triker What you witnessed today sounds awful. I bet they didn't think for one second how they would feel if it was them lying in the road:mad:

Had a very productive weekend. Went into London for some quality piano practice on Sat, but before I went I managed to do the DW and put the bedding on to wash which DH dried for me. DD was sick so they weren't quite as destructive in the house as usual, but I still had a cleaning spurt when I got home. Binned our living room curtains which were here when we moved in three years ago and stained with mud at the bottoms. Rehung the new ones which look very swish. Then hoovered the sofa cushions and generally tidied up before having an Indian for dinner!

Today I've been sorting, ironing and pricing baby stuff that I'm selling in a sale next weekend. A bit soul destroying but we'll hopefully make some cash that will be the Xmas present budget. Just made a peach and raspberry crumble and a lasagne for dinner. Relaxing for half an hour while it cooks.

Looking forward to doing a full week of flying this week and hopefully seeing an improvement in the house!
