Good morning! I've had an evening home alone, so had a long soak with my book, and an early night. I've been up for a while sorting through paperork, so have a load for the recycling bin :j
Happy Birthday to Master Vallikid
I took down DD's curtains yesterday, and found that the pole isn't fixed to the wall as well as it should beAnother job for DH's list once he's back
I'm going to see what else is on my list and then tackle that, accompanied by more coffee :rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

DD2 made me a cup of tea - without being asked!! :j She then emptied the DW (I did ask, but she did it straight away!) Wow!
So DW emptied & restacked, kitchen disaster zone cleaned up (DS & DD2 made themselves jacket potatoes last night), WM on with super stinky cushion covers (nasty dog), dog fed.
I am wondering whether to try & clear my headache with a walk with the dog. DD2 may want to come (she wants 'in the moment' photos - ie dog shaking water off after a swim, splashing etc) and she is in the bath, so I will hold off - maybe take some parecetemol in the meantime.
OK - whats next? Hoover, I think0 -
Hi everyone, majorly busy here so apologies for everything I have misssed, hugs for JoJos minion who must be really upset with herself. Kind of stupid thing I do, indeed I am posting from my new laptop which I could really have done without buying.
DH has really been pushing on with the building works, looks like DS2 will be in his own bedroom very shortly. It means though that I come home from work and help so nothing has been done on the house. DH is away on an overnight research trip tonight so I have today free to try and do some of my outstanding stuff.
So far I have cooked breakfast, dropped DH off at the station, put our bedding and the valance/bedhead thingys in for a wash, and started some yeast off for bread as the boys have asked for cheese fondue for dinner. I need to clean/tidy the kitchen and our bedroom as a minimum, plus I have mountains of washing and ironing to do.
HHC at 11 anyone? George is purring furiously on my knee and I don't want to move her just yet.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

I need to finish off my lists, finish the washing etc before Thing 1's friend arrives to wreck the house...

One load of washing on the line, one more in the machine and two in the queue. Gutted and cleaned the utility room yesterday... Apples stewed and bins emptied. Showered and dressed. Need to tidy the kitchen, fill the DW and set it off, wash up anything left over and then sort out lunch. I think I only have one person coming, but there may be more. I might start off a large pan of pea soup and I can always freeze the leftovers.0

How did you get on hex & Ruth?
I have cleaned the bath, vac'd through downstairs, emptied the hoover & the filter, hung out the washing & reloaded the WM. I have also found a little photo album, so I don't need to go to town now :j
Welcome back Greenbee, how was your trip?0 -
Well in my HHC I...
- Emptied DW
- Fed WM
- Emptied TD & Folded
- Put away yesterdays ironing (well dumped it in thing 1 & thing 2's rooms for them to put away);)
- Sorted out Thing 2's top drawer. That child has soooo many tops its no wonder the drawer is a mess. I have decided to hang some of the tunic style ones in the vain hope that she might actually wear them.
- Looked at the pile of things that she wants to take on holiday - 16 dresses, 4 skirts, 10 pairs of shorts & we've not done the tops yet :eek:WE ARE GOING FOR 2 WEEKS
