come on, mr t. admits it makes mistakes by offering the dtd so they are being fair.

customers understand they can't get their overcharging rectified by dtd - all are happy.
    but
some people have the bare-faced-cheek to take advantage which jeopardises the whole scheme for everybody else.

this scuppered asda's scheme as people took advantage
  • oh and not to mention that every staff member on the shopfloor ends up on checkouts constantly meaning that we can't get our jobs done? And no I don't stick up for tesco, nobody that works there does believe it or not!
  • :pgreat post - sums it up well :p

Also Tesco should stop diddling people and employ those who are competent to perform the job decription given - I mean do they not have a dedicated Price Integrity Team in each store. I know they have in my store in Cornwall.

I wish we had a team. I'm only on 23 hours per week and there's one other girl that works with me. The workload is just impossible to manage.
  • it certainly isn't that - one person takes about 20 minutes to find someone to authorise the refund - I wonder what they are doing for 20 minutes behind the scenes... Laura can you clarify please

    Thanks Sue x
Daily store reports need filling in and signing, total pricing errors report needs working out and filling out, price verify weekly reports need completing, scale checks, POS trolley. need I go on?

Every department is short staffed because tesco say they haven't got the money to take on any more staff. And if there was enough staff then there wouldn't be incorrect labels on the shelves. How do you expect 2 staff members (sometimes 1!) to do 1500 labels or more on a monday and wednesday, other days about 700 per day, do the POS brochure and all the other stuff that goes on behind the scenes? It is just impossible. If tesco got more staff on these legal departments like mine then they would reduce the number of DTD's and save themselves money.

    Sorry "Laura" I apologise.

I thought you worked for this Tesco the one that makes £10 Million pounds a DAY. - £3.8 BILLION a year in PROFITS.

You must work for another one that I have not heard of!

and I suppose you're one of these people that think I and the rest of the staff get a share of all these profits?
What is with all the hating of shop workers on this website.

Oh, and I worked in a medium sized Morrisons a few years ago as a student, and we had 3 full time POS staff, as well as a Manager who would help.

But then Morrisons don't seem to overcharge so much....
  • thanks laura although I can usually work it out in my head and multiply it out in a few minutes and watch the hapless CS try to work it out on a caculator a few times before they agree with me ( as they usually do )

the reports surely are completed as CS - 20 minutes are they reviewing the CCTV !
I think you're on a different page....CS have nothing to do with the total pricing errors report......
