I'm not sticking up for them! I would say the same about any shop if they had the same stupid policy as dtd.

you need to check the legal definition of policy with your colleagues.

If it is a POLICY (which it is) then you as a mere worker need to adhere to the policy until such times as the directors changes it - you should not diss the policy as stupid as it reflects badly from the shop floor up.

    Are you at work tonight?:D

and I will be using these forums as a way to find out these so called glitches that make people a fortune so I can remove incorrect labels/POS.

I know all said and done now, but if this person had a brain (legal department haha, what sort of legal department may that be? :-/ , I agree trained in store by the trainer with their PTTLS 7303)

Why do they not allow family and friends to take advantage of the great offers, they could reduce hours on the gain :-)

    Mad world.

I'd like to say one thing, I personally don't abuse these offers. I actually needed he batteries and didn't get DTD (under different circumstances, i would have, but i would not have gone back for more) However, someone going in and buying more are not doing anything illegal, they are not stealing or anything, it is Tescos fault for applying the DTD - It's called shooting yourself in the foot.

No one hates shop workers (unless they are rude whilst working or unhelpful - pet hates of mine) and i have done shop work for years, i used to go above and beyond for the Co-op, but at the end of the day, i was being paid to do a job, and that is what i realised, if the company wanted something done, then i'd do it, but i also wouldn't make myself run ragged and do the job of 10 when i was being paid to do he job of one. At the end of he day, what hasn't been done due to staff shortages is not down to the workers but due o Tesco not hiring more people.

Now let's spread the love and bury the Hatchet :happylove:grinheart

So now I haven't got a brain? Charming. And PI is a legal department in the sense that it gets the store legal for trade. I don't care anyway, carry on making money in your dishonest ways but you won't be doing it in the store I work at thanks to this forum :D

I don't know but I wish they would.

as you work in the legal you should realise that tesco can be fined alot of money for every single miss price let alone bad press....

so whilst you try and defend your company think how much money actually is being saved...

the amount of people that DONT check receipts will far out way the few on places like here that share the info...

so the policy actually work in tesco favour as it keeps the few happy that no about it whilst still making money from the people that dont check and saves loads in fines as people dont bother reporting as they are getting dtd

laura, fair enough if you can keep up with correcting SEL's to stop us getting DTD's

but what I totoally object to is trouts LYING to my face to save having to give a DTD. I could have been a genuine customer......I was a genuine custome lol!!:rotfl:

I bought a phone with an OOD sel from one store, then same again in second store but in second store male trout tried to fob me off with its the wrong sel/item FIB!! I was tired and hungry and had just bumped into a friend so let him off but it makes me even more determined to go back for another DTD.

Sorry if thats not what you want to hear

Well let's hope you don't work in my local or you might spontaniously combust when you hear the antics of one worker there today! There was a batch label stuck on a mag that someone infront of me was buying, she stuck it through as a 40p ciabatta bread, then a single pen i was buying didn't scan so she said i might as well have the 40p as well!! The funniest thing is, she had a badge with 'stock control' on it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
