Thanks Laura. You will save your company a lot of money in fines for advertising incorrectly, and therefore taking money from customers which they shouldn't. Might be a good idea if on the way to work you pass the other several thousand stores Tesco own and check their isles too.;)0

So why don't they just do away with the DTD policy?Man who run into airport turn-styles is going to Bangkok
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research0 -

Laura,
I don't want this to be personal, but if everyone at Tesco did there jobs correctly, then this thread and others would not exist. (read "if you did your job correctly" if you want to , but I am not saying it)
For every person who gets a DTD, there are many who do not.
Tesco have a turnover that matches Bangladesh (thats a fact folks, and I mean every penny spent in Bangladesh in a year), so have the ability to stop these if they wanted to.
The fact is it is cheaper to do things the way they do things, otherwise they would change it.
And we are well aware that people from Tesco watch these threads, but I think they use them too.
This is an excellent method of underground marketing, for example, if you want to shift cheap breadmakers, then a simple thread on hear does your job, without one penny spent on advertising.
And can you be honest, if you did not work for Tesco, and you had the chance to do this and make £20, are you telling me you would not?0 -

Why does DTD make every department severely short staffed or am I being a bit dim:o It can't be because every department is dealing with DTD surely?Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

No it is not.
It is down to Tesco not recruiting/training/staffing correctly to ensure that people can do their jobs properly.
If Tesco wanted you to have more staff, they would employ them.
You are being sucked in to the internal staff mindset that many, many companies encourage that makes people look outside the business for reasons, rather than higher up the company.
I have worked for companies like this, so understand.
I bet you joke that if you cut yourselves your blood is Blue and White stripes?0 -
On a lighter note, on my way to my other local tesco-bigger extra store, massive queues about a mile on road leading up to the store, I can only assume the rest of my town has rushed to buy hello kitty sweat shirts, batteries and barbie dolls so I gave it a miss for tonight!
Ps Laura can you explain the numerous national glitches eg the recent jelly/custard glitch, no other supermarket seems to make as many !!!! ups with the overlap of offers?GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
Every department is short staffed because tesco say they haven't got the money to take on any more staff. And if there was enough staff then there wouldn't be incorrect labels on the shelves. How do you expect 2 staff members (sometimes 1!) to do 1500 labels or more on a monday and wednesday, other days about 700 per day, do the POS brochure and all the other stuff that goes on behind the scenes? It is just impossible. If tesco got more staff on these legal departments like mine then they would reduce the number of DTD's and save themselves money.0
