    Morning everyone.

Does anyone know how to sharpen a picture of a coupon a bit? My Sacla coupon, when I print it, the wording isn't that sharp and a little difficult to read, is everyone's coupon like that or just mine? Any ideas on how to sharpen it before printing, what I need to go in with the settings and stuff? Many thanks!

    it's printing like that.

Is anyone aware of tesco changing their coupon policy. We were told today by a SA and a supervisor that they were only accepting internet coupons with SafeCoupon on them, and not the other ones. Coupons denied were the colgate toothpaste, campbells soup, honey shreddies and utterly butterly.

    Regards
    Chris

    colgate toothpaste - pdf

    campbells soup - pdf

    shreddies - pdf

    utterly butterly - pdf

I think I see why your Ts were rejecting these. They must have been inundated with people getting these products.

Afternoon, felling rotten and can't be bothered!!

Did nip out today and tried Wilkos for some Colgate Total - S/A had good look at coupon, but eventually put it through.
Catch up now and thanks the posts.

Wilkinson's SAs have been told to check each coupon carefully to ensure the T&C have been met otherwise they will reject it.

surely that's the sensible answer rather than just being plain rude about about requests (not referring to you MT) :)

time for a new thread , old thread is here

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3405925

normal stuff , no Freebies or competitions in this thread (unless they involve coupons) there are specific areas of the forum for those

as its a fresh start and due to recent problems the following is not to occur in this thread

    1) encouraging misuse of coupons , i.e not buying the item , printing off multiple coupons and buying multiple items when the terms say you should not

    2) editing of coupons , scanning of coupons , making multiple sheets of copons to print off

    3) offering to send by post any coupons you have , requires swapping of names and addresses which is not allowed if you check the Forum FAQ's

    4) posting of your personal email addresses

    5) offers to PM codes , if you have a code it has to be posted ( again covered in the FAQ's and "stickies" here)

    and finally

    6) personal abuse between forum users , outside my remit as a Board Guide so ALL posts get referred to the forum team

and quoting my later post in the thread

as MT says, we are allowed to post the original pdf find, ie manufacturer's coupon.

I think if the manufacturer pulls the original pdf coupon, we cannot repost it - as there is a reason it has been pulled. I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong.

    Thanks! :D

I just found those posts! :o I have checked my IP location and it does show UK! Think I will phone innocent tomorrow to see what they say. Will post back if I get any sense!

I am wondering if it is not your location, ie UK they mean? I wonder if they mean the vouchers are not valid for shops in your area? which is very strange if that is what they mean!

    a. YES everyone should read the first post to understand the rules but I would say for many it is very long winded and very busy/even confusing.

    b. rather than a moderator being snappy at another poster, a polite message like the ones you have posted wouldn't make the poster feeling a little stupid? Which ultimately may mean the poster will never visit again.

After all we are all here to help one another and hopefully grab a few bargains whilst they last.

    snipped

firstly, I would like to say MSE does not have Moderators. Moderators have a different role to board guides and people who run threads. We should be careful using that word.

I agree about the first few posts.

When I first discovered the coupon thread a few years ago, I read the first few posts and for the life of me could not understand what you were supposed to do, to save money. But then I started reading the chat about coupons. After a while I began to understand how the first posts worked and the find of new coupons in the thread after the coupons was MOST HELPFUL, this certainly made it easier for me. So even though it is time consuming, even I skim read, (sorry to OP who I gave wrong info to other day, because of skim reading). But reading what happens after the first posts is very helpful in understanding the first posts.

And as on many other threads on MSE - and I read a lot of them, people find a thread, don't read the first post or from the beginning and just start posting questions that have already been covered/answered.

and yes at the end of the day, we are proud being MSERs as we are here to help each other and all save money.

    end of sermon :D
  • Sorry to be dim, but the guidelines just posted say no pm'ing codes and no exchanging names and addresses to post coupons. Surely if two people in a pm choose to exchange e-mail addresses voluntarily and knowingly, subsequently to exchange information, that is not against forum rules? It goes on all the time on other threads/boards and is not frowned on/deleted - is it different for this thread? I had understood that only selective offering to provide coupons was barred?

I have benefited hugely from the kindness of MSE'ers and would love to be able to reciprocate but do not want to infringe - so how can I assist my fellow MSE'ers. The Sacla coupon is valid, has a long expiry date, can be printed as many times as a user needs and is accepted in all the stores I have used it in (T, M and S). The offer has not been pulled, just the availabiltiy of the voucher. It doesn't seem very MSE that I can have free jars of sauce and others can't have the same opportunity. How can we make this available to all those that would like to benefit? Suggestions welcomed.

Hi all - does anyone know if you can use MOCs for online delivery - OK to hand them to the driver? Just asked on the Tesco code thread but guess their still recovering from their late-night internet shopping!
Thanks in advance and to all the posters of said coupons.

yes you can. put your name on the coupons, or the name the order was placed under. Give them to the delivery driver, he takes them back to the depot, who give them to customer service, who credit your account with the value as appropriate.
  • has anyone got the correct youtube link to colgate plax - it doesnt seem to be linking to the correct video?
