  • I used to have a different username from a couple of years ago. Madmuppet knows who i am! Lol. Whist i appreciate this thread and mt is doing a great job, alot of the oldies are gone?! This thread is too official now, no fun! The first few pages are so clogged and full of info no wonder the lazy newbies cant be bothered to read through it! I dont tend to post here as il only end up being directed to a drivel thread or told off. Sorry for my moan but this is all verging on ridiculous! No wonder its all over the grabbit board!
  • hi WBSS

heres link to tecso price check
    https://www.tescopricecheck.com/PriceCheck/Pages/Default.aspx

there is a thread that specifically talks about tesco price checks and has loads of great info and people who regularly use it that can help with any question you have
i'll try and find it for you
    here it is

Hi I was wondering if you could help me. There are a couple of things Im after buying from Tesco this week using MOCs. One item is retailing at £3 more than Asda but with MOC it will be the same, the other thing is more expensive than Adsa and Sains even with the MOC. Ive used Asda Price before but not sure if there is any way to get the difference back from Tesco. I ve never really shopped there before. Thanks in advance.
  • Moneysavers my OH and I have had a brilliant afternoon thanks to you all :T
Mr T's total spend £81.93 reduced to £53.93 after MOCs and conditional spends (M + S, both of which were accepted. T's own conditional spend nearly accepted also before supervisor trouted it. M's conditional spend did scan at £3 but thanks to this thread I was ready for that, queried it straight away, and after a bit of checking they put it through as £10)
Mr A's total spend £21.44 reduced to £15.30 after MOCs.
Mr S's total spend £6.30 reduced to £4.30 after MOCs.
Mr M's total spend £15.47 reduced to £3.97 after MOCs.:j

However, we purchased 6 packs of McVities Medley bars in Mr T's, which are on offer for 70 something pence from what we both noticed on the shelf price label. On looking at the receipt we have been charged 90p per box. Online they are 90p but I will be popping back tomorrow night to double check the shelf price. I know it is only pennies but I feel I have to! Did I read somewhere that Mr T's give double the difference or a £2 gift card for misprices?

I hope you have all had a great day couponing. It's addictive, isn't it?!:rotfl:

Sister in law works at Tesco and has just been telling us that her branch has issued an internal memo today to all staff saying exactly that.

Do not accept any more internet coupons unless they are SafeCoupons. Due to the fact that some customers have been getting 10, 20, and in one case 50, of the same product in one visit.

Looks like some peoples greed has killed off a lot of good money saving offers. :(
Its a pity they just didn't stick with only allowing one pdf to be used only per type- eg buy as many shreddies as you want but you can only use one pdf. This won't stop multiple buys but will make it much more difficult.
As for the requests for the pdfs to be sent - perhaps we should just accept that MSE won't allow it- they obviously have their reasons.

    yes it looks like it.
but I still wonder: how they did it? I've never had more than 2 of the same product, and often had problems with those two. actually-there is "one per purchase and one per customer" note on campbell's free soup voucher, so how they managed to get 20??

cant believe people have the bottle to do it. In one way i take my hats of to them but in another they do !!!! it up for the rest.

but its not Mr T's etc who miss out after all but the manufacturer who honors the coupon surely?

I emailed last week, regarding using of internet coupons in one store but them being rejected in a store only 3 or 4 miles away.

For your information, we currently accept conditional spend coupons from the following competitors:
    Asda
    Morrisons
    Sainsburys
    Co-op
    Marks & Spencer
    Waitrose
    Boots
    Aldi

This is what they said, HTH. Might be worth an email, print it out and just keep it in your bag :)

Yeah that was what I was told on the phone as well, the woman in the shop made out like they were just making it up as they went along :rotfl: Even though I could here they guy checking on his computer as I waited on the phone.

Allthough she did say when she scanned the Coop coupon that it came up 'not in file' so don't know if that means that they don't actually take them or not...

Seems to be all change on the coupon front at the moment, and not necessarily in a good way :/

Is anyone aware of tesco changing their coupon policy. We were told today by a SA and a supervisor that they were only accepting internet coupons with SafeCoupon on them, and not the other ones. Coupons denied were the colgate toothpaste, campbells soup, honey shreddies and utterly butterly.

    Regards
    Chris

That might be down to an individual store. I used Campbell and Honey Shreddies in my Tesco today
    The end is nigh

probably that one of the "I got 100 box of shreddies and 100 tins of soup" people have been through your store.

    just a thought

I used many pdf coupons in my T's today, the colgate ones had to be manually inputted which seems to be a generic problem, but all were accepted. It's awful that some are taking advantage of coupons, as others have said, it will just be spoilt for all of us.
