    Mortgage-free Glee!
Good Afternoon All. Still nice day here, though definitely cooler. Am wearing cardigan indoors which I haven't needed to do for months.
Church was Family Service today - getting to be our busiest of the month with loads of young families which is nice. Probably about 200 in congregation.
Lunch was roast beef and yorkshire pud with carrots and spinach from the garden. Probably only need toast later on!
DS was back at his home, but rang earlier to say probably returning to hospital as he still feels very unwell.
I have finally booked an excursion for our upcoming cruise (only just over a week to go!) as DH really would like to visit Pearl harbour and the rest of the WW2 associated sites. So long as I can see scenery on other days I'm happy to go along with this, so finally made the reservation this morning. Was beginning to panic that it might be fully booked!
Need to get on with the sewing too, but possibly not today. Still feeling very washed out from all last week's drama - can't really take all that adrenalin these days.
Nice to see MBE starting today's thread. I deliberately didn't watch the rugby as I feel I'm a bit of a jinx. We've definitely lost to Samoa before, so glad it didn't happen again today!
Right, well hope you enjoy what remains of this w/e. Take care.

    Back again :D
Trying to keep myself motivated :o
Chest freezer has been emptied & all goodies stacked nicely on shelves in the upright freezer, decided that it might be a good idea to defrost f/f whilst I had the space so everything from there has gone into the chest one for now. Seem to be a few ufo's (unidentified frozen objects) so aim to use them this week which could be interesting. Managed to write things down as I went along so now have the basis for a meal plan when i can be @ssed :o

slow roast pork is smelling heavenly & suddenly i am starving despite having had a bacon sammidge earlier, don't want to ruin my dinner so will have a bowl of cornflakes for now.

    Hilstep... the photos are lovely.
JulieG... thanks for the offer but our mattress is only a year old so no chance of a new one any time soon.
JackieG hope DS has a better week this week x

Re the beef, how about a curry, stroganoff, mince it and do cottage pie, cold slices with bubble & squeek or just portion it up and freeze for another roast ?
£20  was it half a cow ? :rotfl:

    Hi all.

Well, as usual, I've just had to play catch-up with best part of a week's Daily threads..... I just don't seem to get the time to sit and peruse, anymore.

Not doing any extra - just takes so much longer to do the same amount of tasks as before.:(

Currently have 2 Lhasa Apso doglets staying - Derek and Clive. They're due to go home this evening, though.

Anyways.... that'll probably be all from me for about another week *rolleyes* or whenever I actually catch up with you all again.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
