  • MBE - I couldn't be bothered to get up for the game and we won! So do you think this means I should avoid watching all further Welsh games?! :rotfl: :(

 Nah! You should always have won, but have slipped up to Samoa before so it could have been a bit iffy. It was a bit close for comfort this time too! You've played your hardest two matches now, although Fiji will still present a challenge. I think you can look forward to a quarter-final against Ireland. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

    Afternoon all!
JackieG, hopefully things will settle down for him, probably not helped by dad being away, a lot of changes at once for him!
Have made a big batch of chilli for dinner, its getting cold enough for all the comforting food! OH is currently shouting at the footie, loud enough to be heard at Ibrox I fear, the joys of an old firm game!
    Have a good day all!

Been reading all week, hope you are all well, sorry to hear of the poorlies and troublesome teenagers, I'm sure it will get better.
    Well done to Chloe, JO
Hope the school situation improves JG.
How's the new car FB, sounds fab!

Still busy working away at the 2 jobs, but may only be 1 soon as my boss at the hotel has said that I can't have my holidays. The place is nearly empty the week I have asked for and she has given quite a few of the day staff the week off. My argument is that if they don't need anyone there during the day there is nothing to do in the evening (no guests). There would still be 3 folk anyway. We'll see!

House fairly up to date and the washing is blowing on the line, DS2 has a new job to start tomorrow in the research labs, DGD lovely (but parents still a bit odd!).

    Take care all. XX
  • Afternoon everyone,

JackieO I got the recipe, thank you so much... I have a lovely sweet pastry I use for my mince pies and top with a star or pastry, I am planning on filling half with mince meat and half with Jam, because last year there were some who don't like mince meat, and since i'll be 38 weeks by Christmas I don't want to start catering for fussy people. So thank you, I will get DS to help me with a trial run this week, I will let you know how they go :)

Jaxx I used to be like that when my knees were bad, have you thought about a new matress, I can recommend one if you would like, I know how horrid it is to not be able to get out of bed and take hours to get up. I rarely have any issues now x

So yesterday the house got a good clean, DH and DS worked so hard! I was so proud of them!!!! I managed a lot too, but mainly made and prepped all the food for this weekend! I made rolls (with a little help for my BM) and for I was very happy. I finally have stopped missing white bread :)

So this morning I've been to Church, been invited out for tea this week, which is great as I am so lonely at home. DH and I sorted through my clothes, all my 'fat' clothes came out and I now have enough to get me through to the end without buying anything (Only bought bra's so far!) this is what comes from losing 8 1/2 stone, you have maternity clothes in abundance. Although most of them fit me 4/5 stone ago, but I had hand sewn the seams and they last fit me 2/3 stone ago, and they now fit me again... with only a 2lb gain! Big baby :D

And I have also put the Honey and Mustard Ham in the oven for lunch :)

Hope everyone has a great afternoon x

Ps. Freezing here, I am wearing a jumper (Very unlike me!!!!!)
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

Afternoon ladies, last night was lovely , son was totally surprised, everyone behaved (even dd who said she wasnt going and then arrived about half nine). Have not long been up:o. Had a couple of glasses of wine that was my limit, lost count of how many times ds3 friends tried to get me drinking shots:eek: been there done that many moons ago;). Had tears from ds2 girl friends he will be missed by them .You would have thought he had died the way the were sobbing:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. We all rolled home just after 2:eek::eek:.
Never mind. Have just managed to put a load in the machine and bunged the beef into the oven. That will be my lot today ;). Dd still saying she is moving in with her dad but as it didn't happen yesterday and I haven't commented on it since think she won't be bothering. She is in her room doing homework as far as I can tell not going to check. So sun is up and its peaceful :j:j ds1 and 2 are yet to surface and ds3 is at work bless him.Ds4 is watching Liverpool v Spurs and shouted through when Spurs scored:mad::mad::mad:.
Enough from me.Hope everyone is well , will now go back and read through the thread now.

    Hi all,
It was lovely earlier on but just had a big downpour,I had just gone out into the garden :( so am back in the house sulking :D DH has just gone off to Bee& Queue to get a new garden spade as I was huffing about -he's never moved all morning reading the paper and watching reruns of Wheeler Dealers, eating brekkie DS2 cooked.I wanted a shrub moving, its grown so much its nearly half way up a small front window,so at least if he has a spade he'll be ready. It sounds like its stopped again so I'll go out again in a min.

Tea is lamb steaks-will prob do them in the Remoska, and apple crumble.I got some bramleys off the market yesterday.I wish I'd known that DS2 is suddenly back into making fruit smoothies,I would have got more fruit then instead of him buying at Sainsbugs

Right DH is back so better show willing :rotfl:,got comfy on here now though.
JG-hope DS1 settles at school soon poor lamb

    Bye for now,have a good Sunday x
