HSBC PPI Claim Success!

Hi Guys,

I've had some success with HSBC refunding me £2,075!.........my only question is I sent the acceptance form off 2 weeks ago and i've still had no money into my bank account, does anyone know how long it takes for them to refund money?

Thank you.

    Well done!

I would say approx 21 to 28 working days.;)
The one and only "Dizzy Di" :D
  • my letter from hsbc says in will be in my account with in 10 working days i would get on the phone to hsbc monday morning and ask the question
  • My letter says ' please allow up to 10 working days upon receipt of this form for the payment to be paid into the nominated account'

So allowing for them receiving the form and weekends I will be watching my nominated account with bated breath.
I posted the letter friday which means it will have arrived on saturday with them having the reply in their hands monday. So I suppose it depends when they open the post.
  • My letter didn't say anything about how long it would take, but we're at 6 working days so hopefully next week.

The paragraph i quoted is not on the covering letter but on the acceptance letter you will have signed, and filled in with a bank account you want the money to go into.

I just happened to take a copy for my records before sending it off.

You won't be long off from getting it now.

Ill just keep checking my online banking !

    Happy spending :rotfl:
  • I kept a copy of mine too but it doesn't say anything about timescales; HSBC are nothing if not inconsistent!

Most of mine will be going on paying off debts but it will be a weight off my mind! :j
  • mine never said anything either, but i rang them up and they said upto ten days, im at working day 9 tomorrow so hopefully any day now
    :A:beer::A
  • hello i received my settlement letter on the 17th september and sent the acceptence letter back same day on 1st class so should of received it the monday does any1 actually know how long it takes to be put in my bank?? cheers
  • Hi, i had a successful claim of £6418 from HSBC. As my loan was still ongoing i had to go into the bank and sign a new loan agreement without the PPI on it. I done this on the 24th Oct 2011 and was told then that i would receive payment after about 5 days. Well it has now been 11 days and i am still waiting. I don't remember seeing any time scale but i'm not sure

There is a gentlemns agreement of within 28 days, I have just been sucessful with Benificial for £5,270 but still had £1400 still left on loan, so I told them to take the £1400 out of the winnings and credit my account which they have agreed I spoke with them yesterday, as I sent the acceptance letter back on 30 Sept, and they tell me it is 28 days from the date they received the acceptance so no matter how quick you are returning it, it then down to how quick posty delivers it to them hope that helps
