Random question.... Does anyone elses OH do this annoying thing, where they ask you for the cooking time/temperature of stuff when they are the ones standing with the item in their hands, with instructions written on the packing? DH is making some Pain au chocolat, which have the oven temp and time etc on the wrappings, so he sticks his head round the door and says " what temperature for the oven". My reply, errm, it says on the instructions.... Not sure quite why i find this so annoying, but he does it all the time!

My OH does a similar thing Kira, although he just whacks the oven to gas mark 6 and shoves whatever the food is, in, without checking to see if that's the right temperature. He also doesn't pay attention to what time he puts it in, so when I ask 15 mins later 'how much longer does it need' he doesn't know... He's really rubbish at reading instructions for anything! :rotfl:

  • Little rant:

40+2 now. Might take a bump pic later if i remember

Have removed all traces of Christmas from downstairs - It's all piled up in my room because i've been told i'm "not allowed" to go into the attic (Attics a mess, I have OCD - Not a good combo!!) It's doing my nut in. Told OH he has to removed EVERYTHING from there and skip it. If it is in the attic it is not needed!!!!

Need to hoover the stairs and my bedroom then i might calm down and not kill someone . . . . . . .

Nesting + OCD is starting to get on my nerves!!!!

Midwife MEANT to be here at 1:30pm to give me a sweep - you can gaurantee that she will be late (She ws 2 hours late last week for a check up!!!)

    grrrrrr rant over

    And BREATHE :o

Mines is the same, his favourite expression "things don't need to be cooked by the instructions"

He cooks things like fish fingers and over chips at the same temperature for the same time, when chips take longer than fish fingers? Luckily I don't eat much of that crap so just let him get on with it!

Kira Can't believe you're still here, I honestly thought you'd have popped by now :o

GAH! Thanks.... i really wished i had popped by now too! :p Had a really reassuring conversation with a v good friend who called yesterday, and she says she predicts 9th Jan..

Getting a bit narked now with all these people getting home visits from m/w's and health visitors. S'not fair! I want a home visit and ours dont do them pre-birth! Our surgery has fixed "beds" and with my dodgy PgP, it is impossible getting up on there, even with the little step thing. grumble grumble.

Only because of all the signs you've had :( a show and stuff. I'd be more annoyed I think as I'd be on tenderhooks constantly :o

Lucky you Annabella, I'm hoping with the extra pay my OH gets for working Boxing Day and New Years Day, he will treat me to something similar :o knowing my luck by the time he gets paid baby will be here!

EEK! Three more names, and i'm a boldie!

    I know how scary!!
Can't believe our EDD is only 2days away:eek:

OH asked me last night if i was starting to feel nervous. I said yes. He replied 'i thought so i can tell by your face' and gave me a hug!
Not been feeling myself today, bump hard and uncomfortable, been feeling nausea on and off, had a headache when i went to bed last night and feeling so tired. Had a nap before lunch.
I will try and not moan too much, just trying to think not long now.

Mimi - hope the midwife turns up on time:)

I've been the same. Not so much nervous, but on and off headachy, sicky, niggly back ache and tummy ache and SOOOOO sleepy, and a general feeling of "just not right".

As Gilly said, its just annoying not knowing when- when every little thing makes you think, ooooh, could this be it...
I'm sure we will both be through it soon enough!
