afternoon everyone, labour vibes to those needing them.x

woke up this morning with the worst cold i have ever had in my life, when i move it hurts when i breathe i snore cant concentrate eyes all puffy feel like absoloute !!!!!. so i phoned my midwife and she wasnt there, phoned the day unit and they said i cant take paracetamol because of my current meds, i cant use vicks because of the same reason so i have to grin and bare it. if it turns into flu i will be so annoyed with myself.

no there was no apointments for me, mdau were going to give it me because the doctors had none left but then the blood pressure issues started

I should have insisted on having it. not alot i can do about that now tho. im snuggled up with the quilt and laptop

That's terrible! Hopefully everything will be fine, just snuggle down and it'l all get better

OH got me the Kung Fu Panda Collection for Christmas so I'm planning on watching both of those today!

Well - That was uncomfortable!!!

I'm 2cm dilated (8 to go ) and although my cervix is open the wall is still very thick which is stopping the baby from popping out

Now have back ache!!!

Midwife coming again on Sunday to do another sweep before induction on Tuesday

Fingers crossed she comes out before then!

Reassuring to know I'm not the only one feeling like this. Luckily managed to get some sleep earlier as sister looking after my little boy for the afternoon. Headache now returned but sickness feeling gone for the moment. I wanted to hold on until at least due date so that baby had a bigger gap between birthday and christmas but the way I'm feeling now think i'd be happy for him or her to arrive anytime.

I know what you mean about the space between Xmas and Babies B'day. Everyone kept saying it would be a lovely Christmas present for the baby to be born on Xmas day but I was dreading it! Not due until 5th but am almost getting a bit impatient now....I think....or am I scared....I dont know what to feel arrggghh Lol!

Question was wondering about money for baby. My brother has given me back some money I lent a long while ago unexpectedly plus have had some Xmas money for baby. Really don't want to waste it so was thinking about putting some aside in an account for future Xmas/birthday presents. Also maybe splitting the rest for eg university/car/house costs etc the money is a small now but over time could grow. I am thinking of this as mil gave us money when we bought a house for furniture, her grand kids get money for food as a lump when do college , get married etc my family never do anything like this so hence why thinking about it
Any thoughts ? Do your family do this? We are also living off hubbies wage hence want to be careful for future.

Glad you asked this as I could do with some advice on this too. My Mum wants to open an account of some kind to put some money into but have no idea what sort of one to open, where to look, or what is the best sort. If anyone has already done this would be helpful to know
