Anyone elses Doc/midwife not measure the bump with a tape or anything? Just reading through my notes, apparently I'm measuring 36 weeks, but all she done was feel my stomach? Is this normal? The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Can't answer that Gilly, but just I will share: my notes have a 'personalised' antenatal growth chart, which when you look at it, doesn't take into account that we are having twins, as the 90th percentile line is on or under the number of weeks vs the fundal height! Well, with twins you are likely to measure way ahead of the dates, so I am going to enjoy topping their chart every time they measure!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Mine doesn't even bloody use the chart in my notes, my Doctor is a nightmare honestly. I then went to the nurses room to get my urine tested and she said to me (I kid you not) "What are you expecting this to say?" Erm? I'm not a health professional. So I said well I don't know? I have to have my urine checked every visit. Her reply "oh well it's clear" then I said could you fill in my notes please? "yes, what do I do then?"
She was at least in her 40's so I'd hope she'd been doing this a while? Surely it's common knowledge pregnant women get there urine checked at every prenatal visit? :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

The midwife I saw at booking appointment didn't know what folic acid dose I should be, what is microgram and milligram and how they relate to each other! The way she was talking, when was telling OH afterwards, it sounded more like I have seen a cleaner and not a midwife!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

labour vibes to those who need them xx
Keely & mimi - see above
Jenjade - God no wonder you are at the end of your tether, think the consultant really needs to listen to your concerns but I presume also with xmas they probably want to wait sooo frustrating tho hun. Re people phoning think you need a new answer phone message
'if you want to know if the baby is here the answer is no and if you want to speak to jenjade you will have to leave a message as she is currently busy being massaged by <insert hot bloke> hopefully this will speed the arrival...' Sod the heartburn you need a big fat bar of dairy milk........
Lovecrafting - hope that doing your crimbo shopping and trying to relax a bit will bring your bp down sorry to hear that things are stressful xx
Happydays - what a :mad::mad::mad: you are better off without him hugs hun xx
Gilly - re being measured I hsve been measured with a tape at each appt for a while now, keep thinking the measurement going to have increased a lot as my stomach seems massive now. Getting uncomfortable too with BH (mine is a tightening) and sitting.
Seeing mw at 3pm
Just thought I would throw in a festive :rudolf: to cheer you up !
