    Afternoon Girls,

Gawd, keeping up is a full time job! No good when I only come on here during my lunch break! Roll on ML I say ;)

Loving the crib!!! My Mum has dug out the white wicker crib that my sister and I were in. It needs new frilly bits around the outside and a new mattress but I think it's uber cool that my daughter will be in the same crib I was in :D

We have a cot bed too, still boxed up until the little bedroom gets painted after Christmas. Can anyone tell me what decor style they are going for? We've found easily removable wall stickers that we will put up once its painted - very easy to update that way when she is a little older.

    We got these ones:

Hugs to all and labour vibes to those that want them! ;)

eeek have just ordered our cloth nappies! We've decided to go for the Fuzzi Bunz Elite pocket nappy http://www.fuzzibunz.com/OneSizeEliteDiaper/ so I'm really hoping they work out... We've bitten the bullet and ordered a full birth-to-potty set, but I figure if they don't suit Pip once we've tried them, I can always sell on any that haven't been used and try another type...

I went with the Bum Genius ones - I WILL get on with them, our budget depends on it!

Well, i made an executive decision, despite the MW saying she didnt want to see me again after my 38w appointment last week, and i called the surgery to try and book in with her for a 41 and 42 week incase the consultant this Friday says they will do nothing. Good thing i called, as there was only one appointment left available on each of the days, so if i'd not called now, then i would be 43+5 before i could see a mw again!

Thx hon. I guess the obsessive planner in me is happier that i have SOMETHING in place at least, but i havent had any conversation with the m/w about sweeps etc, which apparently having checked the NHS guidelines, they are supposed to discuss with you at 38weeks, and offer for 40/41 weeks and potentially 42w. And being hormonal, i'm a bit cross that i've had to disobey instructions in order to make sure i'm not totally sh*fted.

Still hoping the consultant will agree to putting something in place when i go in on Friday, even if it is booking in sweeps or inductions for 42 weeks.

BTW, Glad your deliveries all arrived safely in the end!

Oh me too, half expected my blood pressure to be through the roof yesterday after all the stress caused in the past week. Only waiting on Dvds, for OH's Christmas to arrive, they were dispatched the 14th but not holding my breath now, he has loads of presents under the tree, so if they don't come it's not the end of the world.

Tracked my complaint letter to M&P and it arrived yesterday, so will see what comes of that.

If anyone could help me out, how many packs of maternity pads/sanitary towels have you bought? Or how many are you planning on buying, I have 1 pack of maternity towels (10) and 1 pack of slimline maternity towels (12) and the double pack of Always Ultra.

I know I can always go get them after the birth but not sure how far I'll want to venture from the house :o so I'd rather be prepared and for all they cost, if they're not needed I can always send them on to someone else under the list from me :o
Sorry for butting in all the time (I'm so broody). I bought 40 maternity towels, put 10 in my labour bag and 10 in my 'ward' bag. Probably used about 10 of them the 1.5 days I was in hospital. I used all the rest up and then went onto normal sanitary towels. But it is one of those things that will differ from person to person...

Okay I think I will get another 1-2 packs, and see how it goes. They're relatively cheap so I'd rather have more than needed. Once I've sorted out all this stuff I'm going through I am going to write a list of what else I need to get for me for hospital/soon after birth and go get it in the next few days. Luckily it's one part of Boots which won't be busy :D
