Freaky! Had a chat with mum earlier, and she mentioned one of her neighbours (about 6 houses down in her road in Staffordshire ) has a sister coming up to visit her tomorrow from somewhere in SW London... We did some digging, and it turns the sister lives literally about half a mile from me! 130miles apart, nothing linking the two towns, how random! So i'm taking over my Mum and my sisters xmas pressies to the neighbours sister tomorrow, for her to transport to mum, seeing as we wont see each other due to mums op and imminent baby!

Gilly, also loving your crib. It looks really like our JL gliding crib. I really want to get DH to assemble ours now! Impatient or what! We havent quite finished clearing the space for it in our room, but i figure he can assemble it in the spare room, and we can move it when the space is clear.

Spent the day wrapping presents for all our families.. Only one set to do now- the expresso coffee cups and saucers for dad and step mum. Putting it off, as i've bought 8 of each and they come in boxes of two...Urgh!

Made better by the fact that a naughtiness arrived- a big box of Branston Pickle flavour mini cheddars, and a box of 48 Cote D'or Bouchee chocolates. Ooopps, but yum! Been craving the branston cheddars for ages, and cant get them in my local supermarkets. Its one of my proper random PG cravings. Was eating them most days at work, with a pack of fresh mango. Hmmmm.!

Hello ladies, am now 21 weeks and thinking about work, does anyone know of a really sound source of info on maternity rights, as I don't belong to a union, but am at risk of half my funding disappearing in April 3 weeks before my due date, and worried about what I'm entitled to, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Directgov is a bit too general and I've not found any other good sources.

I don't understand what you mean by funding? Do you mean wages? Or SMP? Or something else?

There was a really good leaflet I got and perhaps they still give them out? I think I might have got it in my bounty pack and it had 2 sides, one for you and one for the employer.

Congrats on team pink, lovecrafting! Am really glad everything looks ok with your little one. Wow, four girls! :D I hope your blood pressure settles down too.

I'm in bed! Am feeling rather rubbish, think I'm coming down with a cold. Have had a sore throat all day and sneezed non-stop for about half an hour this evening! Am now just generally feeling fuzzy headed and rubbish! OH was a bit surprised when I said I might go to bed, in a kind of 'but it's only 8.15' sort of way... I just gave him a look and said I clearly don't feel very well. He's just bought me up a bowl of cheesecake and ice cream so I guess I've been forgiven for being a bit snappy...

  • I'd seen it in your signature about your other 3 DD's. Were you surprised today then?

Hope your BP gets sorted soon x
