Right ladies I feel ready to properly join in now!
Had my 12 week re-scan today (thanks Kira and Keeley for your reassurances last week about having a re-scan) Everything great - little munchkin kept poking its tongue out at us!
Due date is now 22nd June - how to I go about adding myself to that very impressive list?
Lots of love

Kira - (((hugs))) know your fed up but it will all be worth it xx
Labour vibes to fed up boldies xx
keep thinking need to write something on birth plan page
what what have people put? so far I think that want to do tens machine, gas & air, hubby can have a go at massage and applying hot flannels from bucket of hot water on my back. Am undecided about pethidine and will have epi if it hits the fan and really cant cope. Still need to listen to natalhypnotherapy cd
Really dont want to go for days in labour if c section inevitable but havent got super powers to predict this.... want to be in best condition if have c section because of my high bmi.
I want to wait before cord clamping. If injection to speed up delivery of placenta reduces risk of heavy bleed I want that.
What should I be putting in it?? help!!

I just put a short number of bullet points on my birth plan, all "if possible I would like" and not "I want", as there's no way of telling what will happen and the midwife keeps stressing that.
I would like:
1.) water birth if available
2.) if not, I'd like to be able to walk about, and not stay sat on the bed.
3.) i'd like gas and air throughout, and diamorphine/pethidine if pain gets too bad
4.) don't want an epidural unless I need a c section
5.) skin to skin contact with baby asap after birth
6.) for OH to cut the cord after a few minutes
7.) placenta injection to be given.
8.) 10minutes to ourselves after all checks have been done.
9.) to tear naturally, rather than be cut
10.) no forceps/ventouse unless absolutely necessary
Apart from that, everything else I'm not bothered about as long as me and baby are safexx

Thanks Redhead that is really helpful as I am a bit clueless!!
Also mw has not discussed birth plan but feel should just get on with it just in case. I agree with the I would like bit as I expect things will go errm interesting and out the window ie hubby and the hot water bucket !!!!!0 -
Thought I should write one this time as I didn't write one with DD lol, got told off for it too! X0

Hey ladies, hope everyone is ok!
Congrats on the new babiesXx
I`ve never written a birth plan, the only thing i ever tell who ever is delivering the baby is DO NOT (no matter how much i scream for it!!) DO NOT give me pethedine! I had it with DD1 and was so out of it I literally do not remember giving birth to her and all the panic of being rushed down to emergency delivery is just a blur! I also havent ever thought about it up until this pregnancy, but I really dont want an epidural either. I`d rather be in agony for an extra few hours, than stuck in bed with a catheter for hours after having given birth! I want to get home as soon as possible this time. Altho i know i have to stay in for 24 hours due to having Strep B
I have thought about a water birth, but a friend had one, and told me she had to climb out of the pool with baby still attached ready to deliver the placenta, and that just really put me off. I dont know if its different in each hospital? I tend to pass out when i try to walk after having a baby so dont fancy trying to climb out of the pool straight after! Oh and as i`m typing i`ve just remembered that I couldnt have one anyway now i`m consultant led delivery! I`ve always had the injection for delivering the placenta as it can take up to an hour for it to come naturally, and u tend to bleed more too( altho i`m the sort that would rather give birth to another baby than the placenta anyway!)
My hips r really bad today, drove DH to Birmingham (an hr away) so he could get the coach down to be with his family to scatter his brothers ashes (200miles away!) Theres no way i could have driven there and back today, it would have been a minimim of 7 hours driving altogether. Has anyone else noticed their reactions getting slower when driving?? I`m finding that i seem to take longer to react to braking, but not sure if its in my head, or because its physically harder for my leg to lift onto the brake pedal! Only 10 weeks and 3 days til due date! Hoping i dont get any worse.
Take care ladies, come on boldies, we need more babiesxxx
