I'm having a good pregnancy so far, no morning sickness or usual symptoms just really bad heartburn:eek:
I'm 37 does that make me one of the eldest on here?
According to the scan we are team blue but so far haven't agreed on a name. Every time we are asked people reply with 'you don't want to call him that' or 'I used to know someone called that and they were horrible' so I think we'll name him once he's here.

Welcome MH1
This is exactly the reason we've not told a single person any of the names we've considered or not considered. Not even the parents....... We're not telling anyone until the baby is born and has been named, as we couldn't care less what anyone else thinks or if they like it or don't, lolTTC #3..........0 -

Ditto Twigpig. We have had our names and a spare boys name ready for over 6 months and not said anything at all to anyone for exactly that reason...Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Gilly, Is it feasible that there is the seat liner for your pushchair on ebay? Ive seen some for our Sola on there. If you could get one that way, and get a discount on your item from M&P, then you might be quids in!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Gilly - I can't believe that part of your pushchair stuff isn't ready and they've waited til now to tell you! I'd be very mad and annoyed...... Our pushchair, car seat & cot mattress is being delivered on Thursday and it better all be there as planned! Hope you get it sorted out and manage to stick with the pushchair that you really wantTTC #3..........0

Yeah I'm another one that has given up telling anybody any names. I get a mixture of 'oh you can't call a baby that' and 'i used to know somebody called that'. I think when babies are born people wouldnt have the nerve to comment like that so why would they before. My ex OH gets no say as he's a complete idiot and so me and my son are just keeping things under our hat for the time being. Don't want to be put off names I like based on other people's opinion. After all, it is my baby!!DS1 born June 2000

Okay well they phoned back they've managed to "source" one from the stock they keep for repairs etc. The reason it's all changed is because my pram used to be sold as a complete package, pushchair, carrycot, chassis etc. Now they are selling it as pushchair (suitable from birth) + chassis together and then the carrycot separately. (still the same all in price)
So the full order will be arriving sometime this week, minus the seat pad, and it'l be delivered at a later date, not too bothered though as with our model I think it's 4 months for the pushchair, may be older, so all is good.
Thank God.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Thanks for your replies ladies, seems I'm not the only one with name problems.
We've shortlisted a few names but boys names seem to be a bit uninspiring compared to all the lovely girls names. He'll just have to get used to his nickname of 'lumpy' til he arrives, then we'll name him and I think people won't dare to have an opinion once he has his birth certificate.
I'm pleased I am in the company of older mums on here, it doesn't matter how old or young we are:)
One thing I have got are these weird red oval-shaped marks on my skin. They don't itch unless I'm in the shower and I have 2 on bump, 2 on thighs one on my arm. They are slightly raised and scaley and are roughly the size if a five pence. What could they be:question:

Reading my hospitals website..
"You will only require essentials as most women will go home as soon after delivery as their condition allows and most women will not stay overnight.."
They did say this at the ante natal, but that seems scary :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
