    V breathless today!

Keza, i had BH's from 20ish weeks. There's nothing to be concerned about if that's all they are, you can feel them from 5-6 weeks on.

Waited an hour and a half in the hospital today, to be seen by a midwife instead of a consultant. Went through my notes, checked my blood pressure, then asked me to get on the bed for a sweep. Was surprised by the suddenness of it! Had a v quick scan first as Hitch decided to get wriggly, and she couldn't find a heartbeat. Not for long enough to measure anyway.

Upshot of it all was the sweep was unsuccessful, as my cervix wasn't down far enough. Community midwife had been wrong when she told me I was fully engaged, apparantly I'm nowhere near! She couldn't tell me how far as she said my cervix was too far up and back, and it was difficult for her to judge.
I've been booked for induction on the 19th, going in on the 18th for an overnight stay. That's obviously if I haven't went naturally in the meantime! The midwife didn't think I'd go anytime soon as she said there's no signs or any indication of Hitch moving- baby is just far too comfortable!

Oh dear... What shall i do? Just received a wedding invite for a friends wedding. Knew the invite was coming, and the date, at the beginning of April, and my friend knows bean is due end of December. She hadnt mentioned anything else, other than the date, and that it would be up near her home near Sheffield.

Anyway the invite has arrived, and its an adults only, no kids .
Now i have no problem with that, and not upset about it, as i said the same for my wedding and i knew that that maybe some people wouldnt come, but none of the children were little babies. I really don't want to be the awkward parent, but i cant see how we can realistically and practically travel 5 hours+ to a wedding and leave my just 4 month old somewhere else ( intending to still be b/feeding)? I wouldnt dreeeeeam of insisting i bring bean, when they dont want kids there, which means i'll have to decline..

Am i being a precious parent?

Oh God, that seems ages away! Hopefully bean will come down before then. It's crazy how things work out, look at Kira, her due date is 3 weeks away and baby is 3/5th's engaged

Kira You could leave expressed milk I suppose, but it's a lot of travelling and you'd have to express throughout the day anyway. I would have a word with said friend and say about baby, they may just have forgotten or not even thought about it.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.

Lol, if you google 'pregnant, tired, fed up', an awful lot of results seem to be from 36 weekish ladies. :D I've just changed lanky teen's bedding, and am puffing like a train! I don't particularly want baby to be early, I just want to feel more energetic! :D

    Hey ladies :)
Had a call from the hospital today, they have cancelled my 36 week Strep B swabs app! Even tho the consultant said i could have them for my peace of mind? Anyway, at least i know they will be treating me for it anyway. Just p***ed off that i have to have a drip in whilst in labour :( The lady on the phone spoke to DH like he was thick lol, kept saying, "are you sure you understand what will be happening?" After about a dozen yes`s from him, he finally thought to say " yes we had it with the last pregnancy!"
My shoulder blade has started hurting again already, its the right one :( its a really bad burning sensation all of the time.
I hope WW is doing well and having mummy cuddles!
Good luck to anyone else that has a baby tonight!!
Hope u all had a good day? I saw DD3`s first Nativity today, she was a star.....and stood with her back to the audience for most of it as she didnt want to look at anyone hahaha!! xx
