Ohh so glad to be home. Been out in town today and at the Christmas Markets. Was so looking forward to a massive hot dog or venison burger, but the queues were insane. Was great being out and about though, even all the pushing and shoving didn't put a dampner on my day, it felt so Christmassy and nice outside, despite the cold and rain.
Considering dominos for dinner, we're supposed to be saving money but I just want to cosy in now and don't want the soup and bread I'd planned.
Annnd CHRISTMAS TREES, crazy crazy woman, it's November

Oh dear. Its all your faults. All the talk of KFC over the past weeks, and i finally cracked and sent DH on a KFC run for our dinner, and man! He is in a mega sulk about it
.
Feeling an insy bit guilty but then, not too guilty cos he should have remembered to put last nights left overs in the fridge so we could have them today, instead he forgot and left them in the oven so had to chuck it. Plus he finished all my lemonade and the only place that delivers nice chicken doesnt do any drinks other than coke which i wont drink.
I am SOOOOOO tired today, its ridiculous. Got up at 9, went up for a rest at 12.30 (didnt work), came down after 20mins, then went back up at 14.30, and woke up and came down at 15.45. Now wondering how long i have to last before i can sleep again?
Watched last episode in Dexter S04 last night.... did not see THAT coming. Poor Rita.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I have a really stupid question -
My bebe is due mid January and i'm starting to panic that I'm not prepared at all. My nursery a cot bed, mattress, 2 x cotton fitted sheets, 2 x hippy chick waterproof sheets and 1 x cellular blanket. Is this enough for the bebe to sleep? Do i need anything else?0 -
Aw Kira, I was gutted with the ending. Series 4 is by far the best though, 5 is good, but the ending just didn't satisfy me. 6 is shaping up to be very very good, BUT only 4 episodes left and I have no idea where they're going with it. I love Dexter so much

Eebee sounds good to me, I have nowhere for baby to sleep yet, loads of blankets though, no sheets or anything so wouldn't worry

Do you have spare blankets/sheets etc?Thought about using a grobag for the baby/Some people swear by them(me included) but others don't rate them at all.Are you going to use a cot mobile?Baby monitors? xSlightly mad mummy to four kidlets aged 4 months,6,7 and 8

Well i would say probably a little more needed, for when things are in the wash- with one blanket, you wont have one spare at all, and given the little accidents with puke and nappy accidents, you might get through 2 sheets in one day!
If you dont want to be constantly rushing to wash, i would get one or two more blankets and same fitted sheets, maybe a couple of flat sheets as an extra layer under a blanket. 2 waterproof sheets should suffice though.
If you get extra muslins you can use those on top of the flat sheet, to catch some of the accidents and reduce washing.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Thank you all, I'll go shopping tomorrow for some more sheets.
I do have a 0-6 month grobag, and friend said she will buy me 1 as a present, but it says it shouldn't be used until the baby is over 8lb. I also have a baby shawl (the one my mum brought me home from hospital in).
I have about 20 muslin squares0 -

I would triple the amount of sheets and blankets as a minimum. Babies are surprisingly messy sleepers, its either from one end or the other.Little Person Number 4 Due March 2012

Bumpmakesfour-I've got my eye on the bt monitor and pacifier monitor, but I've asked the in laws to give me boots/mothercare vouchers as baby presents to buy it.0

eebee - (Am due Jan so starting to think do I have everything too!!!)
Agree with needing more bedding comments by others.
If money is tight dont forget that ordinary sheets can be cut down, my MIL has done this for me.
On a list my friend gave she mentioned that her baby did not like a cold bed
so hot water bottle to warm bed & remove before baby goes in might be nice for them but obviously not essential...
Dimmable lamp apparently is useful as well again not essential..
Room Thermometer
Also off at a tangent have you got a car seat as they wont allow you home without one just mentioning in case.
