Zantac is the best thing I've found for acid. 10x better than Rennies.

I'm not going alot.. not much more than usual, but considering how desperate i feel, there isnt much coming out. Peeing itself doesnt hurt, its when i move to try and wipe afterwards.
Dont worry about not DTD. It is seriously not on the agenda at the moment!

The stabbing pain i've been getting feels different to the pain when i am wiping after peeing...

Lovecrafting- the doctors isnt far, but the m/w only works tuesdays, so not sure who i could take the sample to. Might down the water and see what occurs..

Thx ladies. its a never ending worry game this pregnancy lark!
I guess i'll up my water intake and see if that helps.

Keep an eye kira. I had a uti and it developed into a kidney infection and was in hospital for 2 nights. Mostly because I couldn't get any antibiotics (was on holiday!)

I had the urgency to wee even while I was going and the burning when going. This turned into mid right side back pain (kidneys).

Drink 2-3 litres of water and see if it helps. If not, I'd get down the docs just to be on the safe side :) Hth x

  • Kira, I had the same kind of thing as you going on, and it turned out I'd had a UTI for 2 months (midwife didn't check test results). Get it checked out as soon as you can.

Question, how do they check then? As I mentioned to the doctor at my appointment on Wednesday about my toileting problems and they said urines clear, they check with little stick things, and I had to push and push for them to say they'd send it to the lab. If they check and it's clear is it mostly fine?

I had very cloudy urine with mine. It was obvious once it had reached my kidneys. It was like cloudy lemonade but dark orange yuck!! X

Yeah I visit the loo every hour or so :o baby's on my bladder at the last scan, using it as a pillow I expect lol.

They say as long as ur urine is no darker than straw colour, then everything is dandy. I think u will just know the diff between baby on bladder and a uti. The urgency to wee for me was unbearable even as I was finishing weeing. Pure torture :(X
