JenJade, hooray for maternity leave, I'm very jealous but my turn will come lol!

Toniq, hope your growth scan and GTT go ok. Getting in before the bus pass people sounds like a good plan!!

I've also started to fancy drinking milk which is weird as its not something I ever drink but I probably do need the calcium so I guess that's why!

Scan went well yesterday, I thought it was just the internal one to check out my cervix but it would appear I'm also having growth scans because of my underactive thyroid so I had a 'proper' one as well. baby was all fine, measuring spot on but is naughty!! It was laid in the strangest position ever!! The guy tried really hard but could not get a decent look at anything that actually resembled a baby!!! We saw lots of individual body parts and the ribs and spine were really clear. And most importantly we saw the nice strong heart beat, I don't mind seeing just random body parts as long as we get a heartbeat!

So now I'm going to start looking out for things like a second hand moses basket and a baby bath and stuff. MIL is going to order the pram soon and my mum and dad are going to get us a cot bed.

well first day of leave and baby is misbehaving. loads of pain very low down not sure if she is trying to get her head engaged and some pain in the very bottom of my spine all a bit ouch!

She need to stay in there for at least another week! I am not ready yet

Just remembered something I wanted other people's opinions on... OH and I were discussing girl's names the other day. we've managed to get a shortlist of three, which was quite an achievement as we've really struggled to find any we agree on... However, one of them, which I think is my favourite out of the three, is very similar to my name, as in I'm Anna, and the name is Annabel... does anyone think it would be weird, having a name so similar to mine...? The middle name I like with it would be Grace I think, as I think it needs to be a one-syllable name to then go with our surname which is two syllables... I can't decide if it's weird or not! What does anyone else think?

I am friends with a women called Jackie and her son's name is Jack. Made it easier to remember their names!

I guess for the first say 5 years you will be together a lot so that is when having similar names will be noticed after that at school, college, work etc your name will not come into it.

I dislike children having the same name as their parents and becoming "junior" but each to their own i guess.

Annabel is a lovely name ;-)

Annabel is a lovely name, and I wouldn't worry about a similarity in name- come over to NI! There's families I know where 5 generations have been given the same christian name.

Bump is not only moving today, it's possibly doing some form of exercise. I've been up to the toilet three times in 20 mins, every time I sit down I feel I need to go. There are random lumps stretching unbelieveably far out my side- and so far back as well! I have the flu jab in a short while.

Kira, if you feel anything like me when your mum gets out- and I'm 36+5 now- you will not be able to look after someone else. I would do it ifI really,badly had to,but in all honesty, everything is exhausting now, and all you will do is leave yourself drained.
