I can hear definite popping now from my stomach- it's so weird! Up at the top left.... Plus, baby keeps moving- not so much wriggling as thundering and crashing against me- I think from what I feel, my child is accident prone or clumsy. Just like me then.

I've decided mine is rearranging it's womb furniture today... It's been all over the place... makes me feel a bit seasick at times...

Scan went fine, lil lady measured fine for 28 weeks, she kept on playing with her feet throughout the scan, which was really sweet to see, weirdly the scan lady said she weighs 2lb10oz, how on earth can they tell?!!??, I have consultant in 2 days to go over scan and generally check me over, not sure if they will ring me with gtt results or wait till I see consultant.

They take various circumference measurements- babies abdomen and head, as well as femur length, and then do a X times Y type calculation which tells them the approx weight of the baby.

Generally with GTT, if your results show a problem they will ring you. No call is most likely a good sign that all is OK. If you have GD they want to start you on a regime asap, hence unlikely to wait till your next appointment.

Thanks for your advice on my mum hon. I'm really starting to think you are right. Dog or no dog, i'm really not going to manage much, and she will feel guilty and try to do stuff for me, when she should be resting herself. And if i do go early, then she is going to be in no fit state to be my birth partner with DH 5 hours away, and i am NOT doing it alone!

Not sure quite what bean is up to, but for the last few days i keep getting really strong bangs on what feels like my foof, and today quite sharp pains there. I can feel her little hands either side low down by my pubic bond as well..

  • Afternoon All!

De lurking as I couldn't read and run on the GTT test for you toniq....I had mine done end of October and only found out on Friday I have gestational diabetes after asking the temp midwife I went to see. No one called to let me know so it may be worth checking after a week with your doctors.

But I think it was just my doctors/hospital/temp midwife who were having a bad few weeks so don't panic!

Also it's not as bad as you think if you do get it!

Going back now - Have a good day all!

I giggled to myself when I saw that this morning. She gave him such a hard time about his sperm being crap etc. I hate KP.

Cant stand her either. Vile woman. I like Chantelle tho, seems very sweet:)

  • Im similar story to you Lisa with the diabeties. Had my test, told I would get a phonecall if any problems. nothing so assumed everything was fine. received a letter asking me to go see consultant - assumed it was normal consultant apt as im under consultant care for pregnancy and turned out to be diabetic clinic i was attending.

i would defo phone a week or so after if you've not heard anything as i found it very upsetting or maybe it was me just being an emotional wreck to not have been told before hand.
