Jannine - sorry to hear of your day, but I'm sure they would have kept you in if they were that concerned. It can't be easy but try and get some rest and stay relaxed. A woman I work with said when she was pregnant she had problems and it turned out she barely had any amniotic fluid at all, but her little boy was fine and is now a perfectly healthy 4 year old
My thoughts are with you hun, try to talk to your OH as well, you can help each other stay strong through this.
With regards to ebay, I'm not just saying this because I work for them, but you can get Boots points on ebay purchases (and other online shops) through Boots Treat Street...:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Thanks lovecrafting, you are helping me and reading stories like your's make me feel like things aren't as hopeless as they feel. You must have gone through such a tough time with your DD, I can't imagine the worry. I'm so glad things worked out well and hope you can keep this baby inside for as long as possible.
I plan on getting complete rest and drinking as much water as I can. After doing reading online, it does seem that 6.5cm of fluid is boderline of being normal and I'm glad that the hospital are taking good care of me.
Think I need to sleep now as I feel drained and horrible.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

my mum bought dd1 stuff for her overnight bag for when i go into hospital to have the baby. it is all very cute she has new pj's, a new outfit, new slipper, a new toothbrush and toothpaste, flannel etc. dd was well chuffed! very thoughtful but at the same time i was thinking where's mine! lol:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

Jannine, fingers crossed it'll all turn out ok :grouphug:
*Rant alert* this week apparently my Nan has been saying the baby will be bound to come before Xmas cos I'm so huge! This on top of last week's twin comments. I'm glad I didn't bother going to see her today.... I'm not that big!!!
She wants to hope it doesn't come early, or she'll end up with no Xmas dinner! The family will be sorting out me and lanky teen.0 -
hey lovecrafting, Sounds like your little lady was a fighter. It is nice that someone was able to share a positive story. How much did your dd weight when she was born at 28 weeks? are you likely to have difficulties and an early labour this time? Hug to you and Janninie
yeah she really was, and to look at her now she is a right chunk of a hunk. and develoupmentally she is fine, she has some (ok alot) skin issues and needs to be wet wrapped daily but thats nothing compared to what could have happened, also if there is a cold or a virus about you can guarantee she will get it. she was 1lb 6 when she was born so just a tiny dot. all of my kids have chest issues and most winters they get pnumonia or chest infections but again its a small price to pay.
yeah i am likley to deliver before 35 weeks but will be heavily monitored and will be having steroids at 30 weeks (or before if they feel its time), all of my kids have been early. just watch this time i will go full term and it will seem like an eternity lol.
what we are expecting to happen is when the baby becomes distressed I will then deliver and spend some time on special care. I am fully prepared for a long stint in there.
but its all good because this is going to be my last baby and its going to be absoloutley fine. early or not, its going to be fine (does that sound convincing yet? lol)0 -
need some motivation! Help!0
