Can I ask any ladies who are on team yellow or have had babies before and been team yellow, did you have a feeling that your baby was a boy or girl?
I ask because I'm team yellow (sooo proud of myself for not changing my mind, but there is still tomorrow's scan!) and people keep saying 'what do you think you are having?' I really have no idea at all! Lots of my friends say you must have a feeling - but I don't! I'm really not bothered what sex it is and have no preference, but feel like maybe I should have an inkling - think I'm just being silly and not making any sense!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Last time I'm not sure if it was a feeling or if I was swayed by old wives tales, this time I had a definite feeling based on when I thought I'd conceived and on symptoms... both times I was totally wrong.
This is why I like to find out, because once I start to think it is one or the other, I start making assumptions. I'd hate to be disappointed just because I'd convinced myself I knew!

I keep referring to mine as a boy (bit nicer than 'it'), but thinking and dreaming about a girl. :rotfl:So I'm going 50/50 I guess, which darn- might result in a hermaphrodite.
Sorry, that isn't meant rude, my mind's a bit skewed from today. Just ignore this post, it's going to be a rant..
Got back from consultant to an email that I don't think I'm taking up wrong, but it comes across as a bit snippy, really, and it's left me a bit confused, as it's in response to something general? Been thinking all afternoon, and haven't really been talked to. Haven't really felt welcome, so kept myself busy.
Was wondering about tomorrow and physio, but will be taking DH's advice, I think. He says to say nothing, wait and see if anything is said, or if pay has been docked when my payslip comes in. Makes sense- more ammo to complain with.
I know I'm in the mood to complain to HR now, but will see if anything is said tomorrow first.
Just very confused, as everything was reasonably fine until Tuesday and being asked if I was taking a half-day unpaid for physio! Why can't they read their own maternity policy??:mad:0 -

Hi ladies. Just dropping in to let you know my news. My gorgeous lil baby girl was born on Sunday 16th Oct at 7.06pm weighing 6lbs 6ozs. The same weight as her mommy 30 years ago!
I wanted to have a water birth but after being in the water for a couple of hours (well recommended by the way) I had to get out due to a bleed. I delivered her on gas and air (again, well recommended as it made me feel drunk ha he). All in all, the labour went really really well except for the 3rd degree tear I have, very very ouch!!
Unfortunately after that things went seriously wrong. I couldnt delivery my placenta as it was still attached. That's not too much of a problem as that can happen to many women and removal is very straight forward. For me however it wasn't! If you don't want to know what happened don't read any further but for those that do, just know that what happened to me is very very rare and please dont be frightened.
They tried to take out my placenta but I wouldn't stop bleeding. What should've been an hour's work ended up me being in surgery for 5 hours with a full team of surgeons working on me. My body wouldn't stop bleeding and i ended up loosing 3.5l of blood and having a transfusion of 5pints of blood and 3pints of plasma, basically my whole blood work replaced. This has left me and my husband with some emotional scars as it was touch and go for a while. But like I say ladies, this is very very rare!
At the end of the day, i have a beautiful little girl who is amazing and it has made myself and DH love each other more. Her name is Neve & i have tried to upload a pic.

oh hugs Lirin- i second what your other half said just leave it and see what happens. nothing worse then having work trouble while pregnant! trust me!
i have had an e mail from work saying that when i return from my sick leave i will be office based completing admin task. seated all day following the occ health appointment. I am sort of happy about it but a bit worried as i am not an admin person and i am dyslexic so it takes me longer to complete written tasks and i am worried they will get funny about me being to slow etc:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Congratulations SVSandy! She's gorgeous! Sorry to hear it all went so wrong afterwards but glad to hear you are now ok! Or recovering at least! I'm really hoping to have a water birth too!
Hugs Lirin! Can't believe they're being so awkward about the whole thing! I'd complain if I were you, sounds like you need to remind them what their own policy is!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0
