hugs missy we are all here for you. Do you have any family or a friend that could go with you if he is not contactable and you need to go in? back up plans can be very reassuringly. i have to say the staff on the labour ward were amazing when i had DD1 other half was a waste of space and the midwife looked after me amazingly. so if the worse came to the worse the midwifes would look after you. Hope it is not time for you yet and hopefully oh will be back in plenty of time:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

Missymoo- keep calm, hopefully nothing will happen....
Janniew- It's a lovely feeling isn't it? Except when the little blighter decides it's going to wreak vengence on your kidneys.0 -
You can buy some camembert which is pasturised, and thus safe for us preggers ladies
. The sainsburys french normandy camembert (large and mini) is pasturised.
Ladies - cant stand the stuff myself, but on my trip to Tesco i stopped in at the cheese aisle and had a look and tescos own brie and camembert are pasturised.
Hope that helps some of you with a cheese craving :-):jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -

It is a fab feeling and makes me feel so happy, but they do play havoc with your kidneys, I go from not needing the loo to nearly wetting myself in 5 minutes flat - don't dare venture to far from a place with toilets!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

There must be a way to communicate a message, at least in emergency. No boat goes out with no means of communication, at least I would hope so. In case you need - could you call his company and get someone there to contact him? Or the company that owns the boat (if it is not the same company)?
I have been offshore, and I always left OH the number of the someone in the onshore office - in case something happened, they would manage to get a message to me.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Try not to get cross, things have a way of working out, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I do understand your feelings, my hubby works in Dubai and I try not to think what will happen if I have the baby to early, but if I do, I will deal with it and cope, just like you will! We won't have much choice at the end of the day!

My other half is setting off for Europe later, luckily only for the weekend, and luckily for the last time this year. But it does make you nervous!
On the bright side, I had to run back into town to return something faulty, so took 3 packs of the size 1 nappies to Mr T's, and came out with 3 packs of size 2, total cost, 81p. I've still got 14 more size 1s, dunno how many to trade in? I guess I'd rather have too many of the expensive ones than too many of the cheap.Bit short on different stores round here though, so I might have to wait a bit before I do the next lot!

i have kept 10 packets of size 1 and i have 10 packets of size 2. i figure if i have to many i can still exchange them after baby arrives. I did notice today thought that size 3 fit from 9 lb upward so i am thinking i wont need to many in size one or two. It is so hard to tell. I have loads in size 3. I have been swapping 4 or 5 packets at a time to get 2 big boxes of nappies with 117 in each with is great value!:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

I'm planning on reusables after the newborn ones (assuming I ever get off my bum and buy more than the 5 I currently have!) but couldn't resist the cheapness of the starter packs.
Maybe I'll trade in 2 more lots of 3, which would give me 10 size 2s and 8 size ones (or 9, think the other half has one?). Plus a box he bought in Asda when I sent him for a starter pack and he bought something big instead.
That's assuming my Mr T's don't get sick of me bringing them in.
At least the size 2s will swap for 6 quid if I don't use them!
I looked up my old baby book, and lanky teen would've been out of size 1 in about 6 weeks!0
