I'm alright, thanks, stomach's red and sore, but no lasting harm done.... Have salve on it. Just having a very sleepless and clumsy weekend.....

I do still paint my toenails- all by myself too! Though the results aren't great, admittedly. I normally aim polish in the general direction of where I think my toenails are, and if I plaster half my toe- well, it'll come off next time I'm in the shower. Shaving/waxing- that's DH's job now. There's parts of me I can barely remember what they look like....

  • Hi girls.
Thought I'd pop back to say hello, and also to recommend the nursing chairs. My back was starting to bother me, especially during the long breast feeding sessions in the evening. So bought a habebe glider chair and footstool off gumtree for £50 and it is SUPREMELY COMFY. Great for breast feeding, great for bottle feeding, great for sitting rocking baby to sleep as it has pockets fir the tv remote, kindle, etc. And my back is 100 times better.:j

I've had to start Daniel on formula again as he just wasn't drinking enough from me, so wasn't gaining weight. I'm still going to feed him twice a day to give him the benefits of breast milk, but otherwise it's bottles from now on for him. He seems much happier now he has a full stomach but it's a bit emotional for me. On the up side, I finally get some me time, or should I say housework time. :D
If anyone wants to buy a barely used medela swing pump, send me a PM.

hi alison lovely to hear from you, glad daniel is getting settled into his feeding routine, glad you're getting some me time.

I really dont know what to do with myself today, fancy (another) lazy day, but there as absolutely nothing on the tv, and have no good films to watch, a little bored to be honest, I have lots of stuff I could be doing like, jam making or clearing the spare room, but there is very little enthusiasm for any of it!

Same here! Feel like I'm wasting the day but the nesting urge I had yesterday has completely gone! Want to do*something* but no motivation!

Hi Alison, nice to hear from you! I really fancy getting a nursing chair but we don't really have the space for one! The baby's room is really small and the other spare bedroom is full of stuff, although we do have a spare small sofa in there that we've been meaning to get rid of so maybe once that's gone...

I've put the chair in the living room, in front of the tv. I think I spend half my waking hours sitting in it :rotfl: other furniture got moved out to make way for it. The OH objected, until he sat in it. It is just so comfy!

It is raining cats and dogs here, again! I have the fire lit as we had a power cut yesterday. Winter is back alright :(
