Womble - re: the arnica, I had the 6c tablets and was told to take them either 3 days prior to the birth OR to take 6 doses in one day to get it into my system. I'm not sure how the advice would differ for the 30c tablets - maybe give your homeopath a bell to check? I took the 6 doses in one day on the day he arrived and it really has made a lot of difference so its definitely worth taking. I was also told to avoid anything with peppermint and to only take them on an empty stomach so I took them overnight instead of during the day so I didn't get hungry!
Missy - arnica helps with bruising. Means you can sit down easier sooner0 -

right sounds like i need to get some of those, am so worried about having a huge baby and it getting stuck or tearing! Id quite like to get back to normal as soon as possible.
Grrr just had a text off my mother for a vegetable, low calorie no fat soup, how kind of her to be thinking of my weight at such an important time!!!! Seriously I'm 10st 9 at 5ft 2 at over 36 weeks pregnant!! Is that so bad?! Seriously she really £$%&s me off, thats the least of my worries, i have so many more important things to think and worry about!!!0 -

Hi Ladies this is my first 'official post' on here as I am now 24 weeks pregnant! Can't believe how quick time flies when you are pregnant (except the first 12 weeks of course!)
I am on team yellow and my due date is the 10th February 2012, if somebody could add me to the list that would be fab! I would do it myself, but I always make a mess when I try copying and pasting!
Sorry for the TMI but does anybody else suffer from constipation? I go a few days without needing the loo and then end up with stomach pains, the pains always go after I've been to the loo! Also I'm constantly worried about movement and what's normal, last night I didn't feel that much movement, the night before I felt lots! I'll worry now all day until baby starts kicking me again. This being pregnant is a constant worry!
I'm going to read back the last few pages now and see what else is being discussed!
I've got the feeling it's gonna be one of those days. Starting the day mopping the floor cos my egg for my breakfast fell on the floor is not the best indication..."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

No chicken it isnt bad - they say you put on 2 stone during pregnancy (baby weight etc)
What did you weigh BEFORE you got pregnant?
I weighed 11 stone 9 (am 5ft 7) I was a size 12 but my BMI was 25.51 so i was classed as "over weight" - The doctors kept nagging me to lose weight but as i only have half a thyroid its difficult to maintain a decent weight - Before my thyroid problems i dont know what i weighed but I was a size 8 - 10. thyroid problem kicked in and I went to size 18 and 14stone! after thyroid was removed I went down to 10 stone 12 (size 10) and then I met OH and got to 11 stone 9
At the moment - 30 weeks + 4 days and weigh 12 stone 13lb. OH is worried as he thinks im not eating - I AM eating, but I dont feel hungry so am forcing myself to eat. I do worry about my weight after pregnancy and for that reason I would be very grateful for your Mum's no calorie veg soup (in fact I actually made one yesterday lol)
I can see it from your point, its not nice having someone imply your overweight when pregnant BUT I can also se it from your Mum's view - Maybe she is worried you will be worrying about your weight post pregnancy if you dont lose it all (maybe she didnt lose hers and thats why she worries?)
If I was you - I would take the food, and freeze it for when the baby's here.0 -

thanks mimi, im usually 9st 3 ish, i could stand to lose a stone anyway being so short, and this i will tackle when the baby's here, I'm hoping BF will help too.
It was my mother and unfortunately it was more her telling me that she'd made all this soup and how thats all shes going to be eating to lose yet more weight whilst im struggling with mine, she's already told me shes down to 9st, knowing full well i usually weigh more than this, she can be so horrible sometimes, then she wonders why I dont really want to see her and why i moved out at 18!!!! grrr grrr grrr.0 -
Haven't been on for two days, lots to catch up on! Thought I'd have a whinge first though. DH made breakfast this morning and the milk was still in date, only opened two days ago, but when I tasted it I thought it tasted funny
DH assured me it was fine, but after 3 spoonfuls of cereal I decided it really wasn't and went and smelt it in the bottle, and it smelt horrid. Have been so careful about avoiding all the soft cheeses with random bacteria, grrrr. I didn't have much though so I expect it'll be OK.
I've insisted we have to go and take it back, as I'm really cross at having my breakfast spoiled. It was the very last bit of my expensive treat cereal, so that's ruined, and there was no bread so I only got orange juice.
On a better note, had my 25 week midwife checkup yesterday and all fine, measuring average.0
