  • Just back from our first NCT class :) There were 8 couples and scarily we are due first!! The rest are all within 3 weeks though, so we're pretty close together. I reckon there are 4 or 5 other girls I could really hang out with, so I'm hoping there'll be some good friendships along the way. In terms of content, it wasn't really anything we didn't know, plus I think our hypnobirthing covered a lot, but it was a good giggle at times, and I think we'll enjoy the rest of course... Shame my NHS ones are now mid-week mornings, as OH will only be able to attend 1 most likely and we'd hoped to use those to meet other people too and I think he'll feel a bit less inclined to be pally with people he'd only met once, if that makes sense...

Anyway, got an early start tomorrow and need to traipse into London too, so need to go catch some zeds.........

    Night all, BM :) x

ok, have repacked the case again! I have taken the big newborn stuff out, and have put that in a seperate bag along with some 0-3 stuff that way they can stay in the car just in case we need them, lovely, happy now :) I think I have absolutely everything we need :)
  • I've got a chest of drawers in the nursery now so have moved all the body/sleepsuits into there. We were bought loads of new baby size (7-8lbs) which I can't see my using as my son was 9lb and I'm expecting her to be similar or more, but I've put a couple in my bag just in case she is teenier than I;m expecting. Have also packed 2 newborn size (up to 10lbs) and 2 0-3 size to cover all bases! Have got most of the stuff I will need, but will be writing a short list of stuff to be grabbed at the last minute that I use day to day (toothbrush, bras etc). That should give OH something to do for 5 minutes when it's all kicking off anyway!

oooh morning hun, i thought i was bad being awake since 4.30. really dont know why i cant sleep?! How are you finding getting up in the night and feeding etc?

Yes think I've got my bag sorted, thank you :) with much help from yourself, pigpen and wendz,Have taken out the stuff I really don't think I need, have packed a bag with 0-3 stuff which I will leave somewhere so that anyone not just OH can find it. The case atleast shuts now and I feel better knowing that I have hopefully everything I need.

Right going to go down and make that cuppa, if only I had some biscuits!!
  • I've not done too badly, woke every couple of hours to turn over, and then awake for the day at 5.30am, better than my usual 3am :j

At our NHS labour and birth class we were told that they don't teach breathing techniques anymore.

not too bad at the mo moment, obviously im tired lol but mum has been coming over whilst hubby at college and work etc this week so i can go for a nap or have a nath when needed. and she is being so good, has done all my washing for me cause my machine broke last sat. and has donemy ironing etc. sorted all the clothes in babys wardrobe in age range, it looks so cute.

because i had the emergency casearean mum is insisting i do absolutley nothing, she wouldnt even let me make her a cuppa, bless.

i did pop to the local town with hubby yesterday once he had ropped her home but i think it was too much as i was exhausted afterwards. but i was going stir crazy and had to get out the house .

feeding is getting slightly easier but he seems to be permanently attached.

i fount it hard to sleep at usual times right at near the end of pregnancy, its probably our bodys way of getting used to lack of sleep for when baby is here lol.

i still havent been ble to drink tea yet, went off it as soon as pregnant (but i did with the other two boys too) although am loving hot chocolate at the mo

ohh cant remember but have you put some lypsil or something similar in changing bag.
also i took a flask with ice cubes in which was a god send especially in labour as i got soooo hot and the hospital doesnt supply any ice

    morning wonder womble. x
