Hello ladies! Just a quick one to say I went in for my early induction on Saturday at 38+5 (due to my gestational diabetes). The midwife did a sweep then I was waiting around all day to have my waters broken as they were really busy in the labour ward.

I started getting contractions about 9pm and they measured me at 10ish and I was 5cm dialated. So no need for the induction after all, the sweep worked fine! The labour was quick, and my little boy Harry was born at 2:20am on 16th Oct. We were able to go home the same day as they were really busy and needed the beds! He had to have his blood sugars checked 3 times because of my diabetes, but all his measurements were fine which was great! :j

So happy! My DD can't stop hugging and kissing him, I'm sure the novelty will wear off at some point but for now she's really excited by it all.

Oh sorry- meant to put his weight in my post. He weighed 7lb 2oz, he just about fitted into the early baby clothes I took to the hospital with me (which went up to 7.5lb). He seems quite long, haven't had him measured yet though!
