I'll be more relieved when he agrees to my section for the 20th or 21st of October :rotfl:! But it's a step in the right direction. My DH is very placid, doesn't like arguments or confrontations but sometimes I want him to get angry for me you know?!
I told OH if he raised his voice to me again I would have him thrown out and if he wanted an internal exam while contracting every 4 minutes then to feel free but they werent sticking things up my nethers!! And the only thing going near them in the next 200 years was a mooncup!!!!!!!!!!!
He is normally really laid back (cba) but he was stressed and worried and I was the only one he felt he could vent atLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Looks like you made your decision.. I found it hard leaving squeak overnight to have Dot..it is hard to tell how you will feel really. is it your first baby? i left DD1 as i worked nights from 10pm to 6am every night of the week from when she was 3 months old.
the other thing you could think about it your other half and baby going and staying in a b and b or something ?
Yes, first baby.
It will likely be from lunchtime Saturday to lunchtime Sunday from the sounds of what's planned. I suppose I'll see how I'll feel closer to the time and see how the baby is. Both people organising it are mums but they both have 2 kids - youngest of one will be 6 months then, youngest of the other will be about 4 years old, so a little different I feel.
I know chances are it will all be fine and nothing would 'happen' and I'm sure I'd be bothered far more than the baby... We'll see I guess. We don't live that far from London so I could always head home rather than than staying up there.0 -

I can't get the instructions to sink in because it doesn't seem 'real' yet!
When Giblet's born it will take an hour to change him/her because I have to figure out the reuseable nappies (and how to clean him/her before I even try putting the nappy on), an hour to get fed because I don't know what to do in what order and many many hours for all the washing - nappies, clothes plus hubbies & mine normal loads.
I'm sure it's all so simple to those of you who've done it all before but I'm seriously panicking now

relax hun, it will be fine. once you get used to it seriously it takes less than five mins to change a nappy. sterilising takes time but you will learn to rotate bottles for that, washing gets done when it gets done. its completley normal to panic but trust me it will be fine.0 -
Skintcatt that's the steriliser set we bought, was a good price. The box is huge though. I'm planning on breast feeding though so not sure if the smaller bottles will be any use at all, but we shall see.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

i am sure the smaller bottles will be handy laster in the year when the weather get a bit warm or when weaning to give small amounts of water:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Good point actuallywe can always buy more of the larger ones if needed. We got the steriliser, 4 260ml bottles, 4 150ml bottles (I think) the bottle warmer, 2 insulated bottle bags and other things like tongs, soother etc for £55 delivered  Decent enough.
Love crafting I've been told not to express for at least 6 weeks to try get the baby used to the nipple, before switching to bottles. I'm planning on getting the medela breast pump, and already have 3 bottles to go with it so not sure if I'd pour into the Tommee Tippee bottles or just buy teats etc for the medela bottles. So confusing!!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
