Lol, I don't care if I do.. I just care if someone tells me. :D My other half has already decided he's staying firmly at the moral support end of things, so it's sorted. :D

    Hey Ladies,

I'm just saying hello from the 12-24 week thread, I swore I wouldn't post on here until I was 24 weeks gone (this Friday!) but I always read and I'm soooo glad I'm not the only pregnant lady to worry about pooing in labour! I've told my hubby he is staying at the head end the whole way through!

Was talking to my Mum about it and she was laughing at me and said expect the worse, pooing, weeing and trumping and you won't be shocked - I'm in total denial at the moment!!

Will be back again on Friday when its time for me to graduate!

That's good to know! I'm a lady and ladies don't poo, wee or trump in front of other people!

Really annoyed at the moment. I posted about damp/mould in our bedroom the other day, and had phoned the letting agency about it this morning, surprise surprise no phone call back today and noone has shown up either. Was cleaning the living room tonight, pulling out furniture as you do, to get swept behind and there is mould all over the wall, and it's stained all of our furniture! I don't feel like they are taking us seriously at all.

My OH wants to pack our stuff up and move out now!! We have nowhere to go though. How much of a health issue is it? We have played the pregnancy angle to the letting agency but they don't seem to give a crap. Do you think we should phone the environmental health or will they just refer us back to the letting agency?

We have a landlord but we don't know who he is and we have no contact details for him, in all our documents it's just care of the agency.

    first of all gilly, (((hugs))).

I don't know what to suggest, damp isn't good for a baby thats for sure. Maybe phone the letting agent again with the new furniture evidence and don't take no for an answer, or go down to the office (if they have one) and stamp your feet until they do something. I don't know about environmental health, can you look it up on the internet?

Sorry I cant be more help.

I've taken pictures and could go up there with them, thing is, our flat is all modern and nice, it's not like it looks horrid, which is why this is annoying me.

I've friends coming to visit tomorrow for 2 days so it will need to wait until after then, as I don't want to be dragging them up there when I don't need to, and would rather enjoy the time we have. My OH has been complaining of a sore chest and back, and the more I think about it the more I think the damp has probably been contributing to it.

I've not put the heating off for a few days even though I'm boiling tonight, so hopefully that will help slightly, even though it'l cost us! Why can't things just be simple, honestly?

As well as the heating, if it is dry out, opening a load of windows and letting the flat get a good airing should help too. Def not saying this is the probelm with your flat, but alot of letting agents are a bit ambivalent about damp as it is often due to tenants not opening windows to let air in whilst drying washing indoors, which is why there is often something in tenancy agreements about ventilation. Worth bearing in mind so if they raise it as a possibility, you are prepared!
