where can you get the starter packs from, boots?0

Yes I went to boots as the starter kits are reduced to £2.50 there and with the £2 off voucher they only come to 50p - thats for the hat, pack of wipes and pack of nappies. Just dont want to end up with hundreds of starter nappies!:T baby boy born 01/01/2012 my New Years Day Boy

Good luck Sandy, fingers crossed this is the start for you :jDH is trying to cheer me up.
He's trying to sympathise with me being painful, and has just told me that baby is so active inside me that he thinks I won't go full-term as baby is 'obviously looking out.' Would there be any basis in that? I've heard similar from my family and his mother.
Oh please let that be true, as baby does not stop at the mo, despite every website and book I read saying that movements should be slowing down?Womble - I watched OBEM at Christmas on Sky+ so I could fastforward much of the rubbish!! The US one was awful I thought. The mums are strapped to the bed with an epidural and all their family, friends and neighbours all come in!! Very strange!
I was quite embarrassed down at football! Everyone was bundled up in boots, hats, coats and scarves and I wore my slip on shoes and a sleeveless top lol! I had a lightweight cardigan on but that came off. I'm just hot all the time. My little radiator ensures that. Fed up though - I miss socks, fleeces and boots!!
Yeah the US one is weird, some women even have their FIL in there with them :eek::eek: Is anyone having 2 birth partners, or is everyone just having their OH. My mam is coming in with myself and OH.
I am the same with clothes, I went to work in my fit flops yesterday and everyone else had big boots on :rotfl: This morning we went to the local retail park, OH had his big fleece jacket on and I had cropped joggers, fit flops and a t-shirtseafarers_wife wrote: »im having a lazy lazy day today, went to metro centre yesterday and just did a couple of shops and am dead today, cant move so on the laptop still in bedalthough should get up soon as need to eat and i hate eating in bed. hmmmm wonder if i can convince DH to take me to the pub for lunch? best try and drag my behind into the shower!
You must live near me as I am near Metro Centre, not been for a while though as it is just too much at the mo.
Cloudberry have PM'd you.
Well I started doing my housework, but I am so big, slow and tired that it takes me 10 times as long to do anything, and after 30 minutes of being on my feet my legs hurt. So I am resting, conveniently while F1 is on0 -

Just having OH as it's a section but with my 2 previous it's always been just us 2. My DH is of the opinion that if you weren't there at the conception or are not a medical professional you shouldn't be at the birth :rotfl:! Each to their own though. My sister in law is a trainee midwife and she says it really upsets her when the mums take over and the partner feels like a spare part at their own child's birthThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Good luck SvSandy....
Sleep, got some! Though I feel bad, I slept on the sofa all morning I think, and all I remember was DH tucking a blanket around me.... he's just away to work a while ago.
I have DSD tonight, but we're stopping at Granny's for dinner. I think I'll stay and let her play with her grandparents til it's time to collect DH. I hope that's not selfish, but I'm shattered completely, and I'm sure DSD doesn't want to sit while I'm asleep.... Even Hitchhiker seems to have decided it's time for a rest.0 -
Ladies any help with a changing table please? any recommendations? I do want one as my back wont take all the bending over espec over the bath etc, one of the downsides for me being an older mum, Not sure whether the easy peasy ones over the wooden ones, thanks in advance x#JusticeForGrenfell0
