Gilly today is most definitely a fed-up kind of day.
I'm absolutely knackered today. Can't be bothered to move. Luckily DS is having one of his self-sufficient "bug*er off mom, I'm busy being important" days, so I'm just splayed on the sofa watching him play.
Dyl's still quite happy in me, although I wish he'd hurry up. On the plus side, at least I'll be being induced 2 weeks tomorrow! Kinda sad to lose my awesome due date though lol.

good thinking lirin, I hate having to squuuueeeeeeze to get into the car, it doesnt help that i have no spacial awareness and think im much smaller than I am and end up almost getting wedged into spaces or knocking thngs off with my bump!! I still havent dropped my stomach just looks like a huuuuuge beach ball (more like one of those gym balls actually!!)

Wish OH was home to give me some motivation. It all seems a bit rubbish when you have no imminent plans, I have no plans what so ever for the next 2.5 weeks, havent put any make up on since sunday and havent been out of the house since then either, think I am becoming a recluse. Mind you i dont really want to go out I'm quite content being here (apart from being frd up and grumpy!!!) would hate it if someone popped round etc.

I've just had an antenatal workshop at the hospital (all about exercise in pregnancy, how to sit, stand, get in and out of bed etc) but am now home, getting changed to go to work for the afternoon and all I really want to do is go sit on the sofa and eat cheese and crackers! Why didn't I book the afternoon off work too?! I'm sure I'll get nothing done this afternoon so no point me going in at all! Ah well. Only four hours I guess then I can come home again!

Oh and with regards to kindles, they're not back-lit so you need a light on. But you can get cases for them that have a light pop out of the top corner, but they're quite pricey. I've got one of the wake-up lights on my bedside table (can't get out of bed without it once it starts staying dark in the mornings!) and I'll just put it on low. Doesn't bother OH, even if he's lying facing me.

My kindle cover came today, I'm excited, it's a nice purple leather one :) on another note I can't find the bloomin plug thing for the charger anywhere  I have 2, gave one 2 OH's sister to charge her Iphone and said she'd have to bring it back, she hasn't and now I can't find my other one. Wah Wah Wah :(

I've just reached the stage where I'm fedup. Parking near work is full by 0700, so I've been arriving early to get a place- at 0600. There's way more cars than places, so to park even somewhere near, I have to be in 2 hours earlier than I start just to park, as I couldn't afford daily rates on a constant basis at any of the paid parking nearby. Also need somewhere that isn't too far, as walking for long is starting to be an issue....
Now hitting the other end of the scale- I'm completely knackered now, and there's a few hours still to go!

I've been considering a kindle. I'd held off as I was worried what affect they would have on my eye.

 you go to work at 0600? Just to get a parking space? That's ridiculous. :( No wonder you're knackered.

I honestly think the Kindle would be fine for your eye, it's totally not like a computer screen at all, it's really easy on the eyes actually, just like looking at a book page. Plus since you're such a reader, would come in handy for one handed reading while feeding etc :)

Yep- I know it sounds ridiculous.... All the paid parking around here is premium prices for Belfast, and there's only a couple of car parks anyway. Our staff fill them completely, so even if I used paid parking, I'd still need to be in very early, as the only other options are parking in the city, all a mile or so away....
I'm parked 1/4 mile away today- that's close. At least I'm getting daily exercise!

I could park in city and get a bus or taxi- but with being close to date, I'm wary of that- I'd rather have the car nearby at this stage if I need to leave suddenly.

I've seen Kindle's online, but do you know I've never seen one physically? Are they much like a book, in look, or a screen?
Edit- stop skim-reading. Will go and look at one soon, may be a nice thing to buy-can even write it as practical now (hospital use!!)

I'll bring it tomorrow :) you can have a look and see what you think. I don't have many books on mines though, as the one I had I sort of rolled over onto and broke it (I'm convinced it had a problem anyway but nevermind) and they sent me another and books I'd already read I didn't bother putting on.

Still can't believe having to go to work at that time when you don't even start, it sucks!

    Hi Guys

It's taken me weeks to catch up on this thread, lol. Congrats to all the new babies and good luck to all those who are due. I had my midwife appointment this morning and was worried at the size of my bump aa everyone's said I look big. I'm 29 weeks tomorrow and he measured 30cm, so all is good, phew!!

Everyone keeps telling me I look small, and I'm measuring the same! :D According to the midwife I'm at the top end of normal, so I think it could be another big one! Mine always seems to look smaller in photos than it really is, but this is yesterday:

Not too bad from the side, strangely, but huge from the front!

Just back from the midwife, she has given me iron tablets, and two a day at that. All I can remember from last time is that they didn't agree with me big time, and the brand looks very familiar. Tempted just to throw them away! Got to have a blood test next week and in 5 weeks to check the iron though, so she will find out.

Also got another ebay cheapy Mothercare bra and it is the same stupid shape as the last one, they're off my shopping list! And my baby sling, which not only is far more worn than expected, but also not nearly as easy to use as they claim. It's been thrown back in the bag until I feel less
