Thanks alot Redhead :) Hopefully they'l get here soon, planning on going to Boots tomorrow, but if not, I'll wait, going twice in the 1 week is never a good option for me, I'm a bit Boots mental :o

My flu jab left quite a red mark too, with a big lump under the skin :( it's gone now though, took about 5 days.

I'm having bolognese tonight, done some amount of cooking over the past 3 days, so was great to be able to lift something out of the freezer. I really need to do some ironing, I have no motivation though :( I keep saying I'll do a little bit every few days to keep it down, never do though..

Lol. I'd send the rest over to you, but don't really think it would resemble cottage pie when it arrived.

When I home cook, there always seems to be enough for about 10 people, though OH normally makes light work of the leftovers :rotfl:

Lirin I cant believe you have to get up so early to go to work, how very annoying for you, atleast its not for long. I thought I was bad getting to work half an hour early to park!!!

On the kindle front, I have one OH bought it for me and it was great on holiday, I read 5 books in a week. The only thing is, I usually get my books from charity shops for 20p, and although you can get some cheap books most are about £3.00, but I can imagine it would be perfect for BF or keeping quiet when OH is asleep, and others have said, no the screen wont hurt your eyes, sometimes I've read for hours on end on mine!

Another neat bump posted! My MW didnt say a word when she measured me, so I assume I must be ok, I expected a good or a bad but didnt get anything.....!!!

With regards to the MATB1 form, I needed mine for work, so I phoned the generic number for the midwives told them this and they told me to come by the surgery the next day to pick it up, she just filled it in in front of me.

In your big load of stuff the midwife gave you at your booking in appt should have been your prescription exemption form to send away, if you havent had it ask for it. But I've been to the dentist twice and never had to show it, they've just asked me when Im due.

Ooooh gilly can I come round for tea, could just fancy bolognaise, Im just too lazy to cook it, and isnt the same cooking for one :(

Well, it's a pain, but realistically, it's for 15 more days. I've 17 days of work left, and two of those I have morning appointments, so I'll be allowed in the basement!

Thanks Redhead, that's sweet! Think I've talked DH into helping make one. Or at least scouring our freezer to see if we have the meat.

Aimless.. we have the same hair! lol ... do you not brush yours as it goes poofy too (or am I just a lazy mare?) I think your bump looks about right.. but then I get huge with mine. It can alo take up to 2 monhs for iron tablets to make a difference to your Hb levels.. so if you dont take them they wont find out.. and why would you care It is your body not theirs! When they wanted me to have them I just said no.

hope all went well for Redwood today with her section.. I hoped she might have popped by with an update before she went in..

Sandy..I feel REALLY bad seeing you say you are fed up and I was naughty and queue jumped... Sorry :( .. it really is a matter of days .. or hours.. for your little lump arriving.. easy for me today when mine is 4 weeks old tomorrow.. sorry again..

  • I asked my GP for my maternity exemption certificate to send off as soon as I was pg. It annoys me that I have to pay for prescriptions when people in Wales and Scotland don't so I am going to make the most of it! I had to ask for my MATB1 at the MW at 24 weeks I think.

Embee, for hip pain, my physio advised putting a spare duvet under the sheet on my bed, and it has helped. Also a pillow between the knees can help too.

Jen and Kimmy hope you enjoy your 3D scans :D

someone had parked inches from me- it isn't their fault, as they'd left room, just not enough for me and bump, and they've no way of knowing the car belongs to someone pregnant. It took ages manoeuvering in- it's very hard to breathe in with a baby on your front!

I said to OH yesterday that I am convinced that parking spaces are also getting narrower at the same time that I am getting wider!

Hi Ladies, I'm a long time lurker but dont really post. But I keep an eye out. I might even start soon too...

I have a pile of Euro's off huggies vouchers from the huggies starter packs if anyone wants them, seems a shame to throw them. PM your address and I will post them out. x

Hey Kelly!! Good to see you on here :D There is a thread on the grabbit board with people asking for these, I posted offering mine and it took ages for anyone to reply. It cost me £2.50 to post about 20 sets of vouchers by 2nd class.

I've just reached the stage where I'm fedup. Parking near work is full by 0700, so I've been arriving early to get a place- at 0600. There's way more cars than places, so to park even somewhere near, I have to be in 2 hours earlier than I start just to park, as I couldn't afford daily rates on a constant basis at any of the paid parking nearby. Also need somewhere that isn't too far, as walking for long is starting to be an issue....
Now hitting the other end of the scale- I'm completely knackered now, and there's a few hours still to go!

Lirin, could your boss not allow you to start work earlier and finish earlier since you are there anyway? I suppose it depends on the nature of your job though.

I've had MW appointment today and everything is fine. I asked about GD and she said my glucose level was fine, so I explained that I was worried because I am so thirsty all the time. I take 2 or 3 glasses of squash to bed to drink through the night, but she checked my water and it was ok. Baby is measuring at 30 weeks (I'm 31+4) despite measuring 31 weeks 3 weeks ago?!?
