If I remember right there was a bit of a discussion about kindles on here the other day. I wanted one last xmas but then wasn't sure if I'd like it or not as I do love a real book! The comments on here about being able to use it one handed while feeding baby has reignited my interest though and DH agrees! Anyway, just wondered, can you read it in the dark without needing to turn the light on? If I wake in the night and don't go back to sleep straight away the only way I can get any sleep is to read for a bit so I end up having to go into the other room so I don't disturd DH. If i could read a kindle in the dark it would mean i could stay where I was!!!

I cant answer on kindles, but i have a sony ereader 650 which is pretty much the same thing. You cant read it in the dark as they are not back lit. But you can get either cases with a little light on, or a wee light that clips to the reader, which does the trick enough not to put the main light on. Big plus of ereaders and kindles is that you dont disturb the sleeper with turning pages too!

eebee, I've found a pillow under me helps a little.. I've also found sitting up a bit helps as well. I lie sort of half sitting mainly on my back.. I know all the pregnancy books tell you to sleep on your side, but that's excruciating at times, I've tried, but it isn't really possible. I made rice socks which I use before bed a bit as well, and they help. The problem I have is when I need to use the bathroom- it takes ages to get comfortable again, as it really pings walking up the stairs.

Work today- even just sitting in my chair is a bit painful. Think I will ring the clinic later and press for co-codamol or such, paracetamol really isn't working. I've actually only started, and already I'm tired- but tomorrow is my first Friday off! Will just concentrate on counting down time. I left last night and someone had parked inches from me- it isn't their fault, as they'd left room, just not enough for me and bump, and they've no way of knowing the car belongs to someone pregnant. It took ages manoeuvering in- it's very hard to breathe in with a baby on your front! Had a painful day yestarday, and when I got in the car finally, which hurt, I did end up in tears for a few minutes, which isn't like me at all. Just tired and painful, I think, that did it.

Hope everyone else had a good night's sleep?

Morning all hope you are well. I really envy you first time mummies on maternity leave - no school runs, having to be up to get lunchboxes etc done! Can't wait until they break up next Friday. So enjoy every minute ladies!

Morning everyone. OMG I'm due tomorrow but i bet i'll go overdue. Really need this lil madam out. Haven't moaned too much before but I am so over the back ache, SPD, itchy tummy skin and constantly multiplying stretch marks. Worse than all of that is the contant text saying 'how are you, any news yet?'. I've had those for 2 weeks already!!

    And breathe!!
