Congrats Mirror and Flower :) What beautiful names!

Lirin If they tell me I'm having anything over 9lbs, he's not coming out, he can just stay put! My OH lovingly told me last night after me asking "what would you do if I had a 13lb baby naturally" his reply "pay for reconstructive surgery"

    Congrats Flower!!!

Gilly, I've told DH that male lactivation and pregnancy are possible, so he'd better start researching...... He told me recently very lovingly- 'Don't worry about your stomach sweetheart, it'll deflate like a balloon after baby.'

    Not really encouraging, that.

Deflate like a balloon :rotfl: bless him, obviously thought he was saying the right thing! Men have no idea, mines reply when I asked how much bigger do you think my stomach will get, "errm maybe about an inch" Yeah I've got 17 weeks to go, an inch sounds about right, idiot!

Congratulations Flower, love the name Noah too. Glad all was straight forward for you. Crikey all these babies! I'm 35 weeks tomorrow. Getting nearer and more scary by the day.

I can't believe they said about your baby being small and it turned out so big, it just goes to show doesn't it! Crazy!

On the tummy deflating conversation, I had to explain to OH that my stomach wouldnt just go down flat like before I got pregnant straight after the birth, he looked really confused and asked why as there would be no baby in it, surely it should just go flat...... Men, no idea, I'd like to see how his skinny body would cope carrying a great big baby !!!!!
  • I just bought my double pram, it was a bargain and now its home and i've pushed it around a bit I now know why its a bargain.

The back wheel wobbles, It humms of cats pee and it said it had 2 seat units and a carrycot, they only gave me 1 seat.

Oh well. I darnt take it up with ebay because I inadvertently bought it off my neighbours.

My DH is being very considerate. He wasn't involved much in his daughter's birth- not his choice, his wife at the time didn't include him, which hurt him.... As a result, he's very interested this time around, lying listening to bump, feeling Hitch move, googling what Hitch would look like now....

The downside being while I can ask him general 'How do you bring up a child?' questions, it's basically new to him with the pregnancy bit. Suppose that's no worse than a couple going for the first child for both of them, would have been nice to draw on experience if he'd had it!

I will be 33 weeks on Friday, and on one hand, I'm cheerful enough, barring pelvic pain I've had no problems, and on the other- what on earth will I do with a child? The pregnancy bit is fine, the whole caring, coping- I should have by now, but can't quite get my head around sharing Christmas with another person in the family....

Gilly- your OH thinks your stomach will expand by maybe another inch? Ha. Tell him my waist is now 60 inch.
