Oh yes, Gilly, I've been noticing the massive mother and baby cubicles. I never thought about how I'd nip to the loo if I was out by myself. Can't really leave the baby outside, lol

Kandboys - Oh, bouncer in the bathroom. Might also consider that, lol. Or I could just get up at 5.30am with hubby before he goes to work, eeek! The baby's going to be great sleeper anyway, as I ordered one of them very early on in pregnancy. Late mornings, long naps and early nights. :D

Oh bluemonkey, I had to google - he's only 5ft8! Oh crap, there's goes the dream. Might need to stick with my 6ft hubby after all :rotfl:

PS - Gilly and I both added an H to Wahlberg and we both still managed to spell it wrong - I couldn't marry him now, his name is a nightmare to spell!

The practicalities are all a bit odd for us first timers. We will get it sorted though, there's no option now! Just realised that there is so little floor space in our bathroom I may well have to park a carrycot on the toilet seat lid:eek:

I'm sure I read somewhere about not being able to go to the toilet by yourself for years after having kids. For some strange reason though one of the cats normally follows me, so I'm already used to having something needy trying to climb into my lap while I'm otherwise engaged :rotfl:

And on this time together thing - our baby is due on our second anniversary of getting together. Knew him as a friend for a few years before that, but our relationship began with me moving in on day 3 together, we got engaged after just over 5 months, married less than a year after that (about 8 weeks pregnant at the time) and now baby due for the start of year 2 together. It's been pretty busy!

And although hubby is only 5'5" (might even be a bit less but he won't let me measure him!) and sometimes a bit of an idiot, he's the only man I've ever wanted to marry and have kids with, we started talking about that in about week two, and I wouldn't be without him for the world. And now going all soppy is making me want to cry - damn hormones :o

Similar with us- moved in with DH after three weeks, asked him to marry me after a couple of years, and will be 2 years next May, with baby almost 6 months old. He's not 5'5" though, unless you include his hair.... :)

It was quite similar for us, we got together in the feb, got married a year later and found out i was pregnant a year after that, and he works away so haven't actually managed to spend that much time together as a couple, but hey ho thats how life goes I guess, we desperately wanted a baby, so it has all worked out how we wanted.

I'm a big believer in things happening at the right time and if they are meant to be. Don't even quite know why after so many years things changed between me and DH but so glad it did. I'd written off marriage and children but was quite happy with that at the time. Now I can't imagine things being any different.

That said though, still bricking it a bit about being responsible for a whole little life (I know I am now but it's not quite the same!). Pretty sure DH is going to be utterly useless in the beginning and will need training in everything, but I'm also sure that his little girl is going to have him wrapped around her little finger from moment one and I can imagine him just staring at her for hours on end.

Finally spoken to Antenatal Assessment. Apparently my glucose level was 7.7 and at 7.8 they refer for GD. Just under the cut off and they were very reassuring, but suggested I just think a little harder about what I eat. I guess that giant chocolate cookie earlier wasn't the best idea then!!

    Afternoon all.

Had midwife this morning, pretty much ok, cept a sore arm from the flu jab. Measuring 2 weeks bigger at minute, midwife said thats fine and then got to listen to flumps heartbeat again.

Been and got 5 more baby boxes and 5 packs of huggies wipes, paid £2.50 so chuffed with that :)

As for the beyonce thing, I watched it yesterday. I do think that is padding. But I do believe she's pregnant, I saw bikini photographs of her from september and she does have a bump on those.
I just think she's trying to hype it up a bit for some reason.

    Congrats Mirror and Flower! Xxxx

    hey all,

    TMI alert-

Last night i woke up coz the bed was damp in my private area (didnt smell of anything was just like water) . went to the toilet changed the bedding etc thought it was a bit odd and went back to sleep. Woke up this morning bed was dry so no more wetness. Today underwear was wet at mid day and it felt like i was dripping slightly.

About a month ago i phoned the midwife because i had an infection and it was like white goo and she thought my waters had broke send me to the hospital an hour a way for monitoring, an internal examination and a scan. it took me nearly 2 hours to get there i had 20 mins on a monitor machine an internal then was send home as the midwife there though it was an infection not waters breaking.

what do i do about last night? I dont want to phone the midwife and end up in the hospital being monitored as it is an hour to get there a hour to get back and i am just to tired. Baby is moving around loads so i am sure she is okay. I also have a 3d scan tomorrow afternoon so that should check everything then. Do you think it is okay to just leave it and wait. ?
