Morning ladies and bumps
just a quickie coz I'm on my phone but wanted to say congratulations to Bella, Skint, Caroline and Sohurtand good luck to Durham!
Hope Mirror, Flower, Mancbird and other boldies are having mummy cuddles now or really soon coz they are the best things ever
Finn is absolutely amazing, he's so content and has taken to bf'ing really well. Still gets hiccups all the time though lol! I won't be doing a birth story because I don't feel like I need to. DS1's birth was so traumatic and I was completely terrified about giving birth again, but Finns birth could not have been more different. They started the induction at 11am, by 5pm I was having regular contractions and had gas and air, taken up to delivery suite at about 11pm when I was 8cm and Finn (quite literally) appeared out of thin air at 1.42am
I'm so proud of myself for doing it with no pain relief other than clinging to DH's arm! I do have some stitches and second degree tears but I don't care. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I already want to do it again!
My only advice to the ladies with spd is try what the midwives suggest but if it doesn't work for you then move! Listen to your body because it will tell u what it needs. I ended up flat on my back with my legs in the air lol!
Lirin chick I'm so sorry you're struggling so muchtry the cocodamol but keep a real close eye on the side effects. I'm still struggling with spd and I'm going to need a lot of physio to get me back to normal so please be prepared for that too. Sending lots of hugs xx
Oh, ibruprofen, arnica, witch hazel and lansinoh are AMAZING!
Big hugs to everyone, I'll keep lurking until you've all poppedxxx

that's great Winnie, must have been lovely for it to go so smoothly.
Thanks, will try the usual stuff from Thurs and hope she puts in an appearance, don't have that much faith in the wives tales but better than doing nothing. Yes it is pretty draining, I can honestly say that although I have put on 2 stone already it is all on tum, when sitting down you can't tell I am pregnant. It has made for a very odd centre of gravity and loosing balance is a regular occurrence now.0 -
I would steal your idea, K, getting in usually isnt a problem- it's getting out mainly! The other car is better as it's higher from the ground, but i have a slight lead foot problem that manifests when driving the V6, so it's not the best choice as I'd forever be begging for change in a fuel station.... Will give a plastic bag a go later!
Take a look, girls-

I guess getting out would be the same as it helps you swing around? Maybe a bin bag if your seat is big lol! That woman is amazing!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

Oh my god, How on earth did she do that, I can barely run up the stairs without getting out of breath. Am dreading going to the gym after the baby's born I am so so unfit. Just watching super size to super skinny :eek:0 -
K, my car has bucket seats- they're fitted with a very high lumbar support on either side (car model was originally designed as a track car), so my problem is swinging and lifting my legs over the actual seat! Getting in- can drop onto lumbars and lower in, getting out- an all fours job!0
