Good luck Durham! I think I've mentioned my friend before who is also my neighbour. She's due 2 weeks after me. Well, due to various problems the poor love has they have brought her c-section forward and it's the same day as mine!!! So our babies will have the same birthday. How cool is that??!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Good luck durham.
Lirin, i've just been taking paracetamol for my spd. Does nothing at all! I have to say being at home now has helped as i'm not moving around as much as when i was at work. I've also been.told by the hospital physio that my right hip has been dislocated due to spd. That's where most of my pain comes from. I've found slepping with a V pillow helps me at night.0 -
Yup, I gave paracetamol up for chocolate- it at least made me feel good! Ta, Missy and Sandy.
I don't like taking stuff, but it's gotten to the stage where I have to admit I'm not really coping- I got in my car last night and someone had parked close to me- just twisting to get in and then dropping- I sat in tears for a few minutes. I'm not a teary person!
It's not that it's unbearably sore all the time- it's niggly all the time, and sore some. It's more that it's constantly wearing.... and restrictive....
Sleeping- Dh has threatened to take a photo for future bribery use. Whatever position is relaxing, no matter how unusual......0 -
Good Luck Durham, hope all goes well.
Congrats to all the new mummy's, am very jealous.
I had my growth scan yesterday and baby is measuring big. She is 7 pounds 10 at 36 + 4. So plan of action is another scan on the 31st of Oct and then either a sweep, an induction or book me for a c-section depending on what they find. The consultant has told us she is ready to come out so to get eating curries etc and hopefully she will come soon. The main issue with the size is I am only 4 foot 10 and fairly petite, size 3 feet etc.
Any advice on bringing labour forward? Won't start until Thurs when she is classed as full term.0 -
oooh boatgirl you're dinky, bless you, I thought I was struggling at 5ft 2 with size 4 feet! Bet you're struggling to carry all that weight. Hmmmm bringing on labour.... I only know old wives tales, long walks, jumping OH lol, bouncing on your ball, eating hot food, hands and knees scrubbing the floor, raspberry leaf tea, bumpy ride on a tractor lol..... thats all I can think of.0

I'm glad OH is away with all my unusual sleeping positions, my huuuuge a$$ that has apparantly grown in pregnancy is always out of the covers, sticking up in the air, so very attractive!!!!0 -
missymoo81 wrote: »wooo hooo, second lot of washing in, bed stripped and washing on the line and have taken a whole 5 photos for ebay lol. Just had a reply back re NCT classes and it would appear I'm too late and they are fully booked
didnt really want to go for the teaching more for the social side, but alas I am too late
Aw, that's no good. Are there any other locations near you? I found that the NCT website didn't work too well just searching by postcode. If you go into the Branches and Events section and then choose a specific group, you can then list all their courses. I got details of courses that didn't come up on the search. Not sure it helps but worth a look.TTC #3..........0 -
Ooh boat girl she is a big one isn't she. Mine was measuring 7lb 4oz at 36 weeks but I'm 5'6". Have no tips for bringing on labour I'm afraid. I went nearly 2 weeks overdue with my boys and nothing works. Hopefully they will induce you very soon. Is her head engaged at all?
Lirin have you tried putting a plastic bag on your carseat? So when you get in it helps with swinging your body around? I've got a Picasso so the seat is lovely and high so I don't struggle to get in. SPD sucks!!!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
