Bought the coolest baby bottles tonight.
They're Nuby ones, and the bottle bit is made of soft plastic, so they're squeezy. They're so nice to hold. The best bit was that all the Nuby stuff at my boots was heavily reduced.

The electric bottle warmer was £7.50, hard bodied nubby bottles were £6 for a 4pack, the squeezy bodied bottles were £3 each, microwave steriliser with bottle and soother was £4.99 and the Nuby breast pump went through the till at £3.69 :D

Boxes of Hipp baby milk was discontinued at £3.50 a box too but didn't get any of that.

Used my Xmas vouchers and got £8 worth of extra points too.

I only went for antiseptic and plasters though so OH gave me a funny look at everything i'd bought, till he squeezed the bottles then even he got giddy :rotfl:

    Xxx

wow thats amazing my boots never have any good deals!

My boobs have been leaking for weeks seafarers_wife  I've been using the Boots slim maternity pads, but I think they're pretty rubbish, well depending on what time of bra you're wearing, I find they're only good with the "moulded" type if that makes sense. If I wear my maternity bras which are just material they don't stick properly and they move around loads especially at night which is when I need the most. They only have one little sticky bit.

Apparently the lilypadz are good, but they're re-usable, so not sure if that's the road you want to go down? My plan is to try the Avent or Johnsons pads next.

  • thanks, im happy to try the re-usable and the disposable ones so its a case of trial and error then :)

i need good sticky bits on them as im still not wearing maternity bras  ive just worn my normal bras with a bra extender and have some hand me downs from my mum in bigger cup sizes that i need to sort through as some of mine are getting a bit tight. Im a 38G normally so dont want to be paying out a fortune in new bras when ive got an ikea bag full of barely used/new bras in 38GG?H sizes with tags on.

It's such a pest having leaky boobs. I find when I wear the pads, I barely leak, so that can go on for a few days, so I think it's fine, don't wear a pair and I leak through my top. Sods law, between that and panty liners because of how "moist" I am. I feel I'm spending half my time sticking things in my underwear.

Pregnancy really does take away your dignity.
