Thanks lovecrafting - I just can't imagine taking a suitcase wih me everytime we go out if we don't know when we'll be back :rotfl:
Really appreciate the reassurance!
I fancied a mobile epidural but was told not many places do them and the pros/cons exercise we did at antenatal put me off the whole epidural thing completely! I'm hoping for a water birth but with my luck there won't be a pool available!

no problem hun, i remember with my first daughter it was like a military operation going out, then when i got a few more kids in i realised as long as you have somethnig to change the baby into and some form of feeding it then its all good, you will get used to your own routine and your own way of doing things, with me i am verry much I do what i need to do and the kids fit around what needs doing, if they dont get a bath by seven o clock it isnt the end of the world, as long as they kn ow there loved and they have what they need there really is no need to worry.
omg i think i am getting that cold thats going round i cant stop coughing and sicking up yucky stuff, i hope it goes away by friday i dont want to be getting married like this i feel like i have done ten rounds with tyson fury.

When you go into labour and ring the delivery suite say that you would like to use the birthing pool if it's free. They may then keep it free for you if it's not being used and you are coming in xxThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

I had an epidural with DS1 that ended in a forceps (sp?) delivery and - fortunately as it turned out - didn't feel a thing. The only problem I had with the epidural was that because I had it for such a long time, about 24 hours I think, my legs took a good couple of days to start working again and I had to be catheterised because I couldn't feel to pee either.
It certainly hasn't put me off having an epidural this time, but I do think it probably slowed the labour process down quite a bit so it won't be the first form of pain relief that I think about.
I did a really detailed birth plan for DS1 (mostly because I was bored being stuck at home tbh) but it didn't even come out of my bag! It wasn't asked for or referred to throughout the whole thing. That was 11 years ago though and I'm sure things are more progressive now so if you have got a specific idea of what you would like its probably worth noting it down.
I do like the mobile epidural idea but as DH pointed out I can't walk at the moment due to the SPD so there isn't really much point :rotfl:0 -

Just back from a HUUUUGEmungus tesco shop. We have a mahoosive Tesco extra nearby so went there, and managed to use my bounty vouchers for the huggies newborns, and the avent bottle 3 pack first time of trying! Am also pleased cos i was reading last night about how to choose what bottle to use, and they said find one with a teat a similar shape to your own nipples. Apparently Avent are pretty good for nips like mine, so free avent works for me! I love free stuff. Am planning to hit boots soon to get my newborn pack, and start the voucher go-round!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Just had our Sainsburys order arrive and I'm distraught thought I'd bought a 4 pack of Billionaire shortbread and it's one tiddly little slice on its own. What's that all about?!?!
I've bought a mixture of Tommee Tippee (got 8 with the steriliser set) some Medela to go on the breast pump and some Nuby someone else bought us, I like the Nuby onesI like fat bottles for some reason.

I just made two huge saucepans of Irish stew- I'll freeze 10 or so portions. It's delicious, and DH always chops the onions for me because if my seeing eye tears up, I'm blinded (shhh, I know onions affect my eyes just the same as anyone else's, but hey, I'm not turning down his offer....).
Having a sneaky bowl while DH is in the shower....0 -
