Try calling the Boots customer services or Advantage Helpline, not sure how it is called and ask them about this. Few years back I had some points added by calling them, just can't remember what it was all about then. I'll need to start using my points soon, every time I shop, the checkout girls have a shock on their face when they see the total! (I have £350+, might bet the car seats or cots if I can order those instore - need to check if I can use my points this way, I know I can't use them online)

You can order stuff from Boots.com in store and pay with your points... Same as if you wanted to pay using a gift card.

Thanks Annabella, I feel like a stinge doing it for £2.82 especially after getting all those points for free recently.

And yes Gin, you can order to store and use your points that way :D

Hey, you spent the money, you earned the points! When I worked in customer care I had people ringing to claim for less! :D And it was their fault if they gave you the extra free points in the first place! :D

It would, however, it is different departments in my hospital for ultrasound and for consultant (antenatal), so I have to arrange the appointments myself, I just hope I can do this for week 24 when I come next time. I asked them yesterday if I should book my next appointments now, but they just said to book the next one, and then when I come, book the following one.

Hey ginvzt, i've booked all mine up until 32 weeks to make sure I get the best time, otherwise I find I get the "leftovers".

Are you near your hospital? Mine is close to my work but not that close to my home address so it makes it easier when going for appointments. It will be interesting to see how I cope if i get signed off work lol.

Oh yeh, i've been having some killer hip pain too and i'm only 22 weeks :o

Hi all, baby Zak was born at 05.29 on NYD 01/01/12 weighing 7lb 4. Has been a struggle ever since, I needed surgery for 3rd degree tear. Zak had jaundice but not at the levels for treatment so we were sent home. He struggles to latch on properly when bf and wouldnt stay awake for long when he was evntually on. We had to go back into hospital as he was becoming more jaundiced and dehydrated due to lack of feeding. Will explain more when I can. We will be coming home from hospital today so will try and get on sometime soon. So far love him so so much he's a little angel but nothing at all could have prepared me for this. 5-6 days with literally 8 hours sleep in total was torture and overwhelming. Hope to get back on soon once we can get into one sort of routine at home x

oh hugs Cloudyberry and congratulations! You are a mummy:j:j

My darling daughter didnt latch on of feed well at the start keep going it gets easier.

I had a 3rd degree tear with my first daughter. make sure you drink plenty and rest as much as you can.

congratulations and i hope everything feels better soon it is a complete shock to the system and so overwhelming! Hugs
:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart :( Proven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Well, i'm back. Didnt get to see the consultant this time, got her male registrar again who i saw at 34 weeks. BP OK, wee OK, beans heart beat fine. Bean has descended a little more- seems i'm 4/5 engaged now (from 3/5 on Tuesday).
He gave me an assessment examination (not as painful as last time) didnt look terribly good, and i wasnt suitable for a sweep yet. My "old carrot" is a bit shorter and a bit softer than last time, but i'm only scoring 2 on the Bishop scale- a score of 8 or more is usually needed for successful vaginal birth, less than 8 is usually indicative of unsuccessful induction.:(
However, they arent willing to let me go over 42 weeks because of the risk to the baby. So, i'm booked to be admitted for an induction next Weds (when i'm 41+5) when they will use a hormone ribbon internally for 24 hours (they will keep me in), and then reassess to see if anything has started, and then look at starting the drip for stimulating contractions and/or breaking my waters.
Obviously i hope something happens naturally before then!!!

Great, just saw a beautiful cot on Boots.com, but not sure OH will let me spend that much money on them (since we need 2!!!), but maybe if I pay with my points I can get him to agree...

Sorry to hear you have hip pain too - it is really not pleasant. I am better today, probably living on the sofa is helping it! My hospital is about 3-4 miles from home, so it is is really close. It still takes 15+ minutes to get there! However, it is not the hospital I will be giving birth at, that one is a bit further, 12 odd miles away, and can take up to half an hour drive, although often less, as over half of it is motorway!

Hi Kira, I'm pretty sure Lirin was a 0 on the Bishop Scale, and her induction went really well, so hopefully that will perk you up a bit :) xx
