  • Hi all, baby Zak was born at 05.29 on NYD 01/01/12 weighing 7lb 4. Has been a struggle ever since, I needed surgery for 3rd degree tear. Zak had jaundice but not at the levels for treatment so we were sent home. He struggles to latch on properly when bf and wouldnt stay awake for long when he was evntually on. We had to go back into hospital as he was becoming more jaundiced and dehydrated due to lack of feeding. Will explain more when I can. We will be coming home from hospital today so will try and get on sometime soon. So far love him so so much he's a little angel but nothing at all could have prepared me for this. 5-6 days with literally 8 hours sleep in total was torture and overwhelming. Hope to get back on soon once we can get into one sort of routine at home x

    Morning ladies,

Ro - Can't believe reading that you're at 38 weeks now and also that some of the other ladies that I've been following through over the last few months, it's nearly our turn :D

In some ways, it feels like it's been forever and in other ways, the time has flown. The midwife said to me yesterday (36+1) that really the baby could come any time now, so I packed up the baby's hospital bag last night and I'm determined to get my own finished this weekend, as throwing things in a sort of pile isn't quite packing them :rotfl: I more week to work and then I get to sit with my feet up for a bit. This baby better not be late!

Hope you're all having a good day :)

Hi twigpig feel free to go first if u like !!!! It's all a bit too real especially when I know people keep asking hubby at work if ive had it yet, he just says look if I am at work probably not:rotfl:
Hoping that all goes well when the time comes and we can carry on rambling on the less than 1 year thread and compare scary poo stories

    Ro xx

Also watched baby it's you DVD which we got from amazon and really enjoyed watching it so far. It's All about how they develop and it's nice not to watch something about birth!!!! Really recommend it as found it fascinating.

There cant be a limit on the fairy powder, as some guy infront of me got 12 boxes on Wed!!! No wonder i couldnt get any the day b4 if people r buying those amounts!!
If u can use Persil Non-bio, there is a £1 off coupon on the coupon board, and its only £5 for 54 washes, making it £4, BARGAIN! And better to store in the garage/shed ;) Even tho DH cant use it, i`m tempted to get some and use it anyway, see if he notices (am i mean?!!)
Just got my free Emmas Diary packs from Argos, one of them has raspberry leaf tea in haha! xx

Don't know about Dominos, Lisa but if you've got a Papa Johns near you, they're doing BOGOF plus a free bottle of Coke throughout January, we had it last night! :D

Never even heard of Papa Johns!! We do live near a town but there's nothing there! Its a miracle we have dominoes TBH!!! But thanks anyway. I have actually found a code on here though for 50% off when you spend £30, its TXT50OFF, don't know if it works as abviously haven't used it yet but the person who posted it had!

Well I'm back, friend is gone now :( I feel so deflated even though I didn't know she was coming. Was probably the best surprise I've ever had in my whole life :o

Congratulations Cloudberry, sorry to hear it hasn't been plain sailing but hopefully things will be on the up from now on.

Well my Dad has sent me even more stuff that people have given as presents  we've had the most beautiful crochet blanket, it has little blue rose buds on it, it's gorgeous, a baby cuddle sac? No idea, same idea as a swaddle blanket I assume but has a zip up the front? It's soft and snuggly though and one of my relatives has bought us a mountain of stuff from Jasper Conran, never seen baby clothes as beautiful as these, they even come with baby sized padded white hangers, sadly it's all 0-3 so god knows how long it'l even last but it's lovely.

May also have popped into the Disney Store yesterday and bought some 6-9 stuff in the sale :o they had so much and it was all 50% off or more. Baby Dumbo is cute!!
